The Fourth Period
1．Teaching contents:
Oxford Primary School English 5B Unit 1(G.H)
2．Teaching aims:
1: To know the pronunciation of the vowel letter “O” in the closed syllables…
2. Enable the Ss to sing the song.
3．Teaching important and difficult points:
Use the words and sentence patterns skillfully in everyday life.
4．Teaching preparations:
A tape recorder, picture cards, a timetable(picture) …
5．Teaching steps:
A. Classroom management
1.Sing a song “ Wish you are happy everyday.”(SB. P.13.H)
2.Free talk:
T: What day is it today
Ss: Today is ……Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday.
T: What lessons do you have
Ss: We have………… in the morning / afternoon
B: Revision
1.Words Ask individual Ss to spell the four skilled words.
2. Reading. Then make dialogues according to timetable.
3.Have a dictation.
a. What day is it today b. It’s Wednesday. c. What lessons do you have in the afternoon
d. We have Chinese, English and PE. e. What subject do you like f. I like science.
g. How about you h. I like Computer Studies.
C. Listen and repeat (P.13.G)
Clock, coffee, doctor, hot | | box, not, chocolate, from copy
D. Workbook exercises.
Finish off workbook exercises.
E. Homework:
1.Recite the text (Part A)
2.Learn the four skilled words and some patterns by heart.
3. Read Unit twice, listen to it for twenty minutes.
4.Make dialogues according to what they learned in Unit 1 as often as possible.
5. Sing the song.
