1、 教学目标
1. 能理解并正确使用下列单词:expert, teenager, normal, unless, certainly, wallet, angry, carless, careful, solve, trust, experience
2. 能正确运用下列词组:keep……to oneself, have problems with, run away from, cut……in half.
3. 在阅读过程中能适当运用阅读策略:
a.通过跳读(skimming)来找文章的主旨句;
b.通过扫读(scanning)来找到具体的细节。
二、重点难点
1、运用已知知识预测文章内容这一阅读策略的培养。
2、通过已学词汇来理解学习本节课中的新词汇。
3、通过教材提供的阅读文本的支架帮助,学生能正确使用所学语言谈论自己遇到的问题,并依据文本框架谈谈自己的解决办法,以及适当的说明这样做的理由。
三、教学过程
Step 1 Free talk
T: What will you do if you are free at home
S1: I will play computer games if I am free at home.
S2: I will watch TV…

T: I will watch cartoon if I am free at home.
(Show students a picture and get them to talk about it)
Ask Ss: Who are they What problem does Dandan have (He is bullied by his brother.)
How does he solve his problem (He draws a circle on the ground.)
What do you think of his idea Does it help
Do you have the same problem as Dandan How do you solve it Does it help
What other problems do you have
S1: I have too much homework.
S2: I don’t sleep well at school.
S3: I have tests too often.
S4: I am poor at English.

Step 2 Prediction
Show Ss a picture and get them to talk about it.
Ask students: What can you see in the picture Where are they What’s the relationship between them Are they friends How do you know
What may the article talk about (It may talk about problems and how students solve them.)

Step 3 Read and match the main idea of each para.

Step 4 Careful reading
Read para 1 and answer the questions.
