教学内容分析：
本课是新目标英语七年级上册第8单元，教材以“谈论日期”为中心话题，学习日期的询问与表达，询问并回答生日，正确使用when引导的特殊疑问句，进而学习活动的日期安排，合理安排自己的日程。
本节课是Section B 2a-3b部分，本课教学内容从阅读一篇学校活动安排的通知，到尝试撰写自己的活动安排，同时邀请他人参加某项活动，本课时的学习内容非常贴近学生的学习生活。本节课属于阅读写作课，是语言输入和输出的重要环节。
学生情况分析：
（1）七年级学生求知欲望和表现欲望都很强，乐于发表的看法，有利于课堂任务的完成。
（2）七年级的学生经过三个多月对新目标教材任务性学习法的了解，初步掌握了一些如何开展结对活动和小组活动的方法，初步进行了阅读训练和简单的单句、段落的写作训练。
（3）学生已经通过Section A的学习掌握了日期的表达，具备流利朗读课文，初步理解课文内容的能力，能进行简单地交际。
教学目标分析：
在本节课结束时，学生能够达到以下目标：
知识与能力：
1. 掌握本部分词汇和常见的学校活动的表达方式，并能熟练询问其日期。
2. 能听懂有关学校组织活动话题的听力材料，并能获得相关信息。
3. 能阅读有关学校组织活动内容的短文，并能写出有关活动安排的简单文段。
过程与方法：
通过自主学习、小组学习和小组讨论，使学生在一定程度上形成自主学习、合作学习的能力，并培养他们进行有效交际、提取信息的英语思维能力。
情感态度与价值观：
通过互相询问课内外活动的安排日程，不仅可以增进同学之间的了解和友情，而且还能促进学生学会合理地安排自己的作息时间，养成有规律地生活、学习的好习惯。

教学重点：
1) 熟悉以下单词和词组：art,festival,dear,student, thing, term, busy,time,there ,have a good time等。
2)阅读短文,获得相关信息,提高综合阅读能力。
教学难点：
1)能阅读有关学校组织活动内容的短文，并能获得相关信息。
2)尝试用以上单词词组写一个邀请朋友参加自己活动的便条。
