教学目标 1.Language focus:Learn the important vocabularies and phrases. 2. Reading strategy: Use predicting, skimming, scanning skills to make the reading effectively. 3. Affection: Learn about some kinds of talent shows and have a positive attitudes towards about talent shows.
学情分析 On the one hand, the students have known and watched different kinds of talent shows on TV in their daily life, so they are interested in them. On the other hand, as children in Leizhou, they seldom have a chance to take part in them, and they haven't talked about them in English before, so it seems a little more difficult for them. If they have master plenty of necessary words and phrases and using proper reading strategies ,they can take an active part in reading and express their attitudes and opinions freely .The students will enjoy the class !
教学重难点 Important points:Use proper reading strateges to get important information and command the target words and phrases.Difficult points:1. Have a deep understanding of talent shows .2. Try to describe their idols and learn something from them.
教学过程 Step 1. Warming-up 1.Lead in by showing a short video about Zhuojun . Then ask and answer about the show. 2.Introduce some different kinds of talent shows. Step 2. Pre-reading Students will look at the picture and the title of the passage and predict what the passage will tell us and give the reason.Step 3. While-reading1 Skimming 1).Listen to the passage, underline the key sentences.2).Explain how to find the top sentence.3).Check the answers.4).Read another passage and find the top sentence by using the reading skill. 2 Detail reading (Scanning)Students read loudly and quickly and answer the following questions paragraph by paragraph.Check the plete the summary of this passage. 4) Do the exercises of the passage and then check the answers. Step 4. Post-reading Have a discussionThere are a lot of talented people around us. How can they become so talented Discuss in groups of four .2) Writing Who's your idol (偶像) What's his/her dream How can he or she make his dream come true How about you (1)The teacher share her model with the students. (2)Students write down a short passage about your idol for the homework.Step 5. Emotional education Encourage students to chase their dreams, and never give up. Step 6.
