教学设计
一、教材分析
本单元是Go for it 八年级( 上) Unit5 Do you want to watch a game show 主要围绕“电视节目”以及“电影”这两个主题展开各种教学活动。在词汇方面,呈现了不同电视节目类型、电影类型、表达喜好程度的表达方式以及描述这些电视节目和电影类型的形容词。在句型方面,呈现了用来表达对各类电视节目偏好和谈论计划安排的句型。学生通过这一单元的学习不仅能掌握丰富的词汇和句型,还可以感知不定式的使用并在具体语境中运用。本单元旨在创造一个轻松、愉快的学习、交流环境, 通过听、说、读、写来培养学生综合运用这些知识的能力。
Section A 1a-1c部分是本单元的第一课时,这一课时用图片呈现了七种不同的电视节目类型,以听力对话的形式再现了对不同电视节目类型的偏好的表达方式,还呈现了谈论计划和安排的句型及对事物喜好程度的表达。内容贴近学生生活,具有很强的实用性。在技能方面,主要加强了听说训练。
二、 教学目标
1.语言目标

I plan to watch...
3)语法

1) 能谈论对不同类型的电视节目的看法与偏好。
2) 能用不定式谈论计划和安排。
3) 能掌握和运用表达喜好程度的短语。
3、学习策略
1) 看图预测听力内容。
2) 在语言学习中把握文字传递的感彩。
4、情感态度
让学生在选择正确合适的电视节目方面有新的认识。
三、教学的重、难点
基于上述对教材的分析,我确定本课的教学重点为词汇、句型结构和语言技能。教学难点为正确谈论对不同类型电视节目的看法和喜好以及正确使用表达喜好程度的短语在特定语境中进行表达。
四、学情分析
我所教学的对象是初二学生(以中等生为主), 对英语较感兴趣,有一定英语学习的基础,掌握了一定的听说技巧,有一定的用英语进行表达的欲望。因此我在教学活动中尽量提供更多的机会让他们来说英语,提高他们综合运用语言的能力,通过合作学习等方式使各层次的学生都有所收获。
五、教学方法
1、教法分析
1)本单元的话题源自生活,立足这一点,我充分利用学生已有的知识和生活经验,创设生活化的真实情境(或半真实情境)引导学生在 运用语言中学习语言,然后在学习新的语言知识后运用语言(为用而学, 在用中学,学了就用)。
2)开展多种类型的任务型活动,如pair work、游戏、团队合作等活动提供给学生合作交流的空间和时间,促使学生为完成任务和同学进行合作学习。
2、学法指导
1)、学习方法的指导
培养学生观察力,想象力,记忆力以及思维能力。用生动的课件调动学生的感官进行听说训练。
2)、学习积极性的调动
我在教学过程中创造一种开放的,和谐的,积极互动的语言氛围,把课堂变成有声有色的舞台,让学生在乐中学。
3)、学习能力的培养
通过连贯的听说活动,游戏竞赛等,培养学生的交际能力,发展他们的思维能力。
4)、学习策略的指导
本节课将通过课堂活动的设计有意识渗透学习策略的训练。让学生在个人活动,结对活动及小组活动中相互探讨、相互交流、相互合作,从而获得知识、技能和情感体验,发展他们的能力。
3、教学手段
多媒体辅助:将本课所需要的录音、图片、文字、图表制成PPT课件, 为学生运用英语进行交际创设情景,实现师生互动,生生互动的多向交流。

六、教学过程设计

Step 1 (一)导入新课 1. Free talk & Warm up.Talk about the students school life and their free time activities. Therefore I lead to today’s topic-- TV programs.2. TV TIME (Vocabulary Learning)Show a picture of a TV set. Showing different pictures of all kinds of TV programs just like we are changing different channels. This helps to get the students’ attention and focus on vocabulary learning. After introducing all the TV shows, ask students to recall the words and make a mind map. This helps the Ss to better memorize the words. Talk about their school life and how they relax themselves.2. Look at the pictures about different TV programs and learn new vocabulary by making a mind map.
Step 2 (二) 合作交流 解读探究Task 1. Pair work.Demonstrate a conversation by working with a student. Practice the following conversation:T: What do you want to watch S: I want to watch...2. Have the students work in pairs and practice the conversation.Task 2. What do you think of ... Show the students 5 different kinds of TV programs. Ask them to rank the TV shows with numbers 1-5 according to their preferences. (they like 1 best)2 Ask the students’ about their preferences and then give them my preference. Have the students match expressions to describe likes with the right number. By doing this I hope the students can better understand the expressions to describe degrees of likes.Task 3. Game: Memory ChallengeDivide the whole class into two groups and ask them to have a competition. Explain the rules and run the activity. During the activity, remember to write down their marks. This will encourage them to be more active and speak more. By doing this activity, I hope to make the students put what they have just learned to practice. Therefore they can use the target language in real life.Task 4. Listen and Answer.Before listening, ask the students to pay attention to the picture in 1a, and predict what they are going to hear as well as the answers to the following questions:1. What does Jack think of talk shows 2. What does Jack usually think of talent shows 3. What TV shows do you hear in the conversation Play the recording and ask them to listen carefully and answer the questions. Tell them that they can take down some notes while listening.Play twice if necessary.After listening, check the answers with their partners.Play the flash and ask the students to follow and then role play the conversation.Time permits, Ask a few pairs to present their role play.Task 5. Pair workAfter listening, the students have received enough input, now it is time for them to output. Ask the students to work in pairs and practice the guided conversation based on their own experience. After practice. Ask a few pairs to present their conversations.Task 6. Group workHave the students to work in groups of four with a group leader in each group. Hand each group with a piece of paper with a form in it. Ask the group leader to interview group members and complete the form. Then make a report. 1. Watch the demonstration carefully and make the conversation with their partners talking about their favorite TV programs.Watch the pictures and number the pictures from 1-5 according to their preferences.Guess the teacher’s preference and try to match the expressions with the right numbers.3. Play the game according to the rules and have fun.Look at the picture in 1a and make predictions.Listen carefully and answer the questions.Check the answers with partners.Follow the flash and role play the conversation with their partners.Role play the conversation in class.5. Work in pairs and practice the guided conversation based on their own experience. Present their conversations.6. Work in groups, complete the form and make a report.
Step 3 (三) 总结反思 拓展升华Homework.(2 out of 3)1. Write examples of each kind of TV shows as many as you can.2. Ask your parents what TV shows they want to watch and what they think of them. Write a report about the results.3. Think of other ways to relax besides watching TV.. Student can choose to complete any 2 out of the 3 tasks.
