Understanding ideas教学设计
科目：英语 课题：Understanding ideas 课时：1课时
教学目标与核心素养：
1.认知并灵活运用本课时的重点单词decade、elderly、 tablet、sympathy、bunch、dusty、shelf、 furniture、mist、brick、saleswoman、leadership、organic、jazz、humble、compete和短语a bunch of、draw conclusions from、drop in、be packed into、have a chat with、be attracted by、stay in business、drop by、wave goodbye to、for good、be replaced by、in good hands、 take over、under one's leadership、popup, combine with, compete with, play an important role in等。
2.通过速读、精读等方式，引导学生由浅入深，逐层推进，加深对文章的理解，并掌握不同的阅读技巧和方法。通过对所设置题目的解答，让学生学会根据关键词提取重要信息，理清文章线索，并学会深层次分析问题，进行语言加工，提高归纳概括、推理判断的能力。
3.通过阅读文章，了解时代变迁，要顺应潮流，与时俱进。
教学重难点
教学重点：学习、掌握本课的重点单词和短语，并能在具体语境中灵活运用。
教学难点：解决阅读阶段所设置的题目，学会分析问题、解决问题，理清文章脉络，提高阅读水平。
课前准备：多媒体，黑板，粉笔
教学过程：
一、Pre-class
1. Greeting
2. Leading-in
教师准备：1.准备好该部分内容的视频材料、PPT以及音频素材。2.设计好阅读理解题目，利用不同方式拓展语言点，激发学生兴趣。
学生准备：1.列举自己身边的一些变化，从不同侧面了解时代发生变化的角度和力度。2.思考面对不断变化、不断发展的时代，自己应该怎样面对，怎样让自己的人生过得更精彩、更有意义。3.预习Understanding ideas部分的内容，通过查字典等方式提前解决词汇问题。

学生活动：完成活动1。Look at the charts and answer the questions.

Suggested answers:
The charts show the sales made by physical bookstores and online bookstores in China from the year 2011 to 2017.
More and more people are choosing to buy books online instead of in physical bookstores.
学生活动：完成活动2。Look at the title of the passage and the 2 pictures. Think about what the title means.
The title means that the Rainbow Bookstore has transformed into a new type of bookstore after surviving from the competition with e-books and online bookstores, which, to the Rainbow Bookstore, is a new chapter.

Choose the ideas conveyed in the passage and find evidence to support your choices.
Traditional bookstores can't compete with large bookstore chains.
