Unit 5 My Body教案设计
1、 教案设计
【 Teaching aims 】
1. Language knowledge (语言知识目标):face, mouth, nose, eye / eyes, ear / ears; This is my ~. I can … with my ~. These are my ~s. I can … with my ~s.
2. Language skills (语言技能目标):Ps will be able to talk about their body parts properly.
3. Learning Strategy (学习策略目标):Ps will be able to learn the new body parts and patterns with the blended learning(混合式学习).
4. Sentiment (情感态度目标):Ps will be mentioned to love themselves and love their bodies.
5. Cultural consciousness (文化意识目标):Enjoy the original picture book.
【 Difficult points 】
Talking about the body parts with the patterns “I can … with my ~.” and “ I can … with my ~s.”
【 Teaching aids 】
Wisdom classroom, Internet, PPT, Video, cards , computer, pads, etc.
【 Teaching procedures 】
Step 1 Engage: Warm-up & Revision
1. TPR exercise — Listen, say and do the actions.
T: Boys and girls. Show me your hand. Ss: This is my hand.
T: Show me your hands. Ss: These are my hands.
T: Clap your hands. Ss: Clap my hands.
T: Wave your arms. Ss: Wave my arms.
T: Stomp your feet . Ss: Stomp my feet.
T: Move your legs. Ss: Move my legs.
T: Move your body. Ss: Move my body.
T: You are super!
2. Sing the song My Body and dance together.
3. Show the body parts and say the sentences, reviewing the old words and patterns learned before: hand / hands, leg / legs, arm / arms, foot / feet; This is my ~. These are my ~s.
Step 2 Study: Presentation of new words & patterns
1. Introduce KK, a monster who can tell the body parts.
2. Let students learn the new words by self-studying with the pad.
T: This is KK. He is a monster. He can tell the body parts. Please watch the cartoon and learn the new words after KK.
3. Look and say the body parts, sticking the new words and patterns on the blackboard.
T: What’s this (图1) S1: KK’s nose.
T: Yes, this is KK’s nose. Please touch your nose
and say “This is my nose”
Ss: This is my nose.
T: What can you do with your nose
Ss: I can smell with my nose.

T: KK is a monster. He has only one eye and one ear. But we are human beings, we have two eyes and two ears.
4. Emphasize the difficult and important points in this lesson, train-practice the patterns.
These are my eyes. I can see with my eyes. / These are my ears. I can hear with my ears.
Step 3 Practice the new words & patterns
1. Play a quick action game, practicing the pattern: This is my ~. / These are my ~s.
2. Team work to play a poker game, practicing the pattern: I can … with my ~(s).
Step 4 A story
1. Introduce a funny story book .
2. Watch the cartoon and self-study with the pad, trying to understand and remember the story.
3. Do some exercise according to the story with the pad.
4. Check out and give the assessment.
Step 5 Activate: Create a body chant.
1. Read the words in the words bank(图2).
2. Do a Demo to the students.
3. Team work: Choose one form to
create a body chant with your
team members.
4. Act out and give the assessment.

Step 6 Summary & Moral Education
1. Moral education: Love your body, love yourself. We should keep running and keep exercising every day to get a healthy and strong body.
2. We should learn to protect our body. The place where the vest and small underpants are blocked should not be touched by others.
