Unit9 Can you come to my party
Period 1 Section A 1a-2c
一、教材分析
本单元主要内容是学会如何礼貌地提出、接受、拒绝邀请；谈论自己和别人的义务和责任；学习如何安排好日程表，并能根据日程表中的计划安排好自己的活动。
Section A部分主要围绕“邀请”这一交际功能展开。主题图呈现了接受或拒绝邀请的各种场面及与话题有关的词汇和短语。这部分的核心是发出、接受、拒绝邀请的相关句型。
二、学情分析
学生对于情态动词can已并不陌生，同时经过初一年级和初二上学期的学习，动词短语的积累量比较大，从而为这一单元话题的展开奠定了基础。而本单元的话题“邀请”贴近学生的生活，会使学生更加乐于表达自己的看法。
三、教学目标
1、知识目标：
（1）全体学生都能掌握单词和短语：prepare, prepare for, exam, have the flu.
（2）全体学生能在教师和同伴的帮助下，礼貌地发出、接受、拒绝邀请，能使用have to, must 来谈论职责和义务：
Invite: Can you come to my party
Would you like to come to my party
Accept: Sure/Of course, I’d love/like to.
Sure. That sounds great.
Refuse: Sorry, I can’t. /I’m afraid not. I have to/must...
I’d love to, but I have to/must...　
2、技能目标：
（1）通过pair work和group work，全体学生能够礼貌地发出、接受、拒绝邀请。
（2）培养学生做听力笔记时抓关键词或重点短语的速记能力。
（3）通过教师引导，学生合作，95%的学生能够运根据教师创设的话题进行谈论，并形成报告。
3、情感目标：培养学生养成礼貌待人并合理安排自己日程的好习惯。
四、重难点
重点：复习、巩固学生日常生活常见活动内容的动词短语，运用can you come to...？/ would you like to come to... 句式进行问答。
难点：运用得体的语言对接受或拒绝邀请进行合理的表达并能称述原因。
五、教具与学具
Multi-media, some pictures, a paper of some exercise
六、教学过程
Step1 Greeting
1. Play a song called “Can you”.
2.Greet the Ss and show the title.
(目的：通过音乐给学生创设良好的放松的学习氛围，拉近教师与学生间的距离。)
Step 2 Lead-in
1. Revise some phrases and lead in the new words and phrases by asking and answering: What are you going to do this weekend , What is he/she going to do this weekend
2. Guess game: Play a song “Happy birthday” to Ss, and ask them to guess what I am going to do.---I’m having a birthday party. Ask Ss: Can you come to my party
(目的：通过图片复习和呈现短语，然后通过与学生交流，复习be going to表将来的用法，同时导入”can you...”句型，为下面的活动做好铺垫。这样，在一个轻松愉快的气氛中让学生熟悉并掌握这些新短语)
Step 3 Presentation
1. Present how to accept and refuse the invitation, and give a reasonable reason with “have to/must”.
2. Ask Ss to conclude how to make, accept and refuse the invitation.
(目的：通过图片呈现本课的重点句型：Can you/ would you like to come to my party Sure, I’d love to. Sorry I can’t. I have to/must...学生通过与教师的对话熟悉和掌握句型的用法，并能用 “have to/must”给出合理的原因。)
Step 4 Practice
1. The teacher invites Ss to my party and get them to make responses. If not, please give a reasonable reason.
2. Ask Ss to invite their classmates to the party and make conversations.
3. Ask some pairs to act out. And then ask “Can he/she go to the party ”, and get Ss to answer.
(目的：师生、生生之间对话巩固刚才所学句型。同时给让学生展示自己，从中获取乐趣。并将第三人称引入本课重点句型，强化学生对句型的运用。)
Step 5 Listening
1. Ask Ss to read the phrases in 1a, and match them with the pictures. Then check the answers.
2. Ask Ss to read the names in 1b, and then match them with the reasons they can’t come. And check the answers by asking: “Can Ted go to the party ”, and get Ss to answer: “No,he can’t, because he has to/must...
3. Ask Ss to look at the picture in 2a, and ask Ss what Anna is doing.
4. Listen to the tape, and circle “ can / can’t ” for the first time to finish 2a. Then check by asking: who can/can’t come to the party
5. 2b. Before listening, guide Ss write down the reasons why they can’t come. And tell them to write down the key phrases first, then play the tape. And check the answers.
(目的：在学生已经掌握短语和句型的基础上进行听力练习，降低了听力的难度；对1b进行了改编：删除了在图片上写名字，而是改为连线题，有利于学生更直接的了解怎样进行合理的解释；听力指导：在做听力笔记时，应采取抓关键词或重点短语的速记策略。)
6. After-listening----Report
According to the conversation and the chart in 2a and 2b, ask Ss to make a report like: Anna is going ti have a party. She invites some friends. ……
(目的：通过此项练习，让学生从语言输入（听），到语言输出（说、写）的过程。同时为下面的活动------学生对话、报告做准备。)
Step 6 Group work and report
1. Topic choosing: Divide Ss to groups of 6, and get them to choose one topic: visit musuems, watch movies, go skating, go camping, go fishing, and go to the library.
2. Present a conversation sample to Ss, and ask them to make invitations and fill in the chart.

3. According to the chart, ask some Ss to report the result.
(目的：通过之前对2a\2b的报告练习，学生已经了解怎样去练习。让他们自己选择主题，使他们更愿意参与到小组活动中。同时通过做一个report，能更好的训练学生的口语表达能力和写的能力。）
Step 7 Summary
1. Ask Ss to summarize how to make, accept and refuse the invitation and give reasons.
2. Read them by themselves.
(目的：让学生进行总结所学知识可以检测学生是否真正了解和掌握重难点，帮助学生巩固句型。)
Step 8 Exercise
1. If time is possible, show a conversation to Ss without some sentences.
2. Ask Ss to fill in the blanks. Then ask one student to check the answers.
Read it by themselves.
(目的：巩固本课时所学内容，并适当进行拓展。同时为下节课做好铺垫)
