一、教材分析
本课是新目标英语八年级（上）Unit 10 If you go to the party, you’ll have a great time! 的第二课时，听说与拓展课。主要是以“birthday party”为主题，通过“Talk about consequences”来继续学习if引导的条件状语从句，主将从现。巩固一般将来时及一般现在时。话题贴近学生生活，鼓励学生对所拓展的生日聚会礼仪展开丰富的想象。
二、学生分析初二学生到本单元已经学过一般将来时态和一般现在时态，已了解了这两种时态的肯定句、否定句、一般疑问句等形式的变化。但if引导的条件状语从句，在接受上会有一些难度。在口语运用中判断if条件句的主句、从句也许会存在一定的困难。在运用一般将来时和一般现在时态也许会产生混淆。
三．设计理念本课以“birthday party”为主题，通过三步骤：生日聚会前的准备—生日聚会中的礼仪—到生日聚会后的假设来继续学习if引导的条件状语从句，主将从现。其次，通过创设情境让学生在语境中感受与运用if引导的条件状语从句。思维导图使学生更清晰本课的学习内容。最后，通过小组活动在学生现有的基础上做好对已学知识（邀请）的巩固和未学知识（礼仪）的链接。
四、教学目标
1、知识目标：能根据语境来学习新授词汇与短语并理解其汉意upset，taxi，advice，give sb. some advice，get up late 2．能力目标通过在birthday party情景中的运用及推测练习句型if…，…will…主将出现的句式，运用if … will…谈论因果关系 。通过birthday party前，中，后三个阶段设计的小组活动，运用if…，…will…句式。3．情感目标了解社交场所的礼仪和习惯。

Step2 Lead in and revision T: After listening to this song , I feels relaxed and happy. So, if I am happy, I’ll hang out with my daughter.T: what will you do if you are happy Ss: follow the steps to answer the questions. If...，…will… 通过延续歌曲中的if you are happy，…联系实际运用if引导的条件状语从句谈谈自己的行为，来复习上节课内容。
Step3 口语问答，引出主题“birthday party” 1.T：show a picture of a student in the class.Can you guess who she is 2. F:Sure.Can you come to my birthday party 通过一幅学生照片，引发学生的注意力及学习兴趣，引出本课的主题“birthday party”设置情景。
Step4 Before the birthday party(Group work) 1.T: F is worried about how to organize a birthday party Can you give her some advice 2.Can you give her best friends some good advice 1.S: If you have a birthday party , you will …2.S: I think if he / she goes to the party, he / she will… 学生通过group work用if引导的条件状语从句给过生日的同学及被邀请的同学给予聚会前组织聚会及参加聚会的建议。巩固练习有人称变化的if引导的条件状语从句。分两部分：给组织者和参与者给予意见，更加清晰。
