讲授新课 Pre-readingLet Ss try to fill in the blanks about Mark Twain. Learn about the background of the book.In pairs, discuss the things which people had in the US in the 1830s. And talk about the life in the 1830s.Lead the students to look at the pictures and introduction to the conversation on page 99, and let students answer the questions:1. Who is the writer of this novel 2. Tom Sawyer felt sad because he was given the task of painting the fence.
