1. 教材分析
本单元是新目标英语Go for it！九年级(全一册)第五单元,中心话题是谈论中国制造的东西，主要语言功能项目是讨论产品用什么制造，在哪儿制造。本节课主要介绍中国传统文化艺术形式——天灯、剪纸和陶土艺术，同学们比较感兴趣。通过本节课的学习，同学可以很好的了解中国传统文化艺术形式，增强国家文化自豪感。
2. 学情分析
本节课教学设计强调从学生的学习兴趣，生活经验和认知水平出发，结合学生实际，谈论学生的业余时间活动。提倡采用任务型语言教学途径和方法，鼓励学生在教师的指导下，通过体验、实践、参与、探索和合作等方式，发现语言的规律，逐步掌握语言知识和技能，不断调整情感态度，形成有效的学习策略和自主学习能力。
3. 教学指导思想
激发和培养学生学习英语的兴趣，使学生树立自信心，养成良好的学习习惯和形成有效的学习策略，发展自主学习的能力和合作精神；使学生掌握一定的英语基础知识和听说读写技能，形成一定的综合语言运用能力。
