Step1 Warm-up
Listen to the song “round the clock ”
Introduce myself and greet the stududents
Step2 presentation
1、Look at the picture and ask : T: what’s this ?
S: it’s a clock.
T:Do you know what’s the time?
S:It’s seven o’clock
Give examples of o’clock then ask the students to practice “what’s the time ?It’s…”one by one
2、look at other two clocks ask” what’s the time ? It’s seven fifteen/ fifteen past seven “and then let students practice “past ”one by one
3、give examples of “half past..”. Ask the students practice one by one .
4、“to” give more examples about “to” and then practice “What time is it?”,when practice you can give some cards of time and let the student choose by themselves.
5、draw a table of time on the blackboard when the teacher teach how to read time
