一、教学目标:
1. 语言知识目标:
1) 复习一般过去时态被动语态的用法。
2) 能够用英语讲述自己所熟悉的某一发明的简单过程。
3) 能用思维导图的方法进行有效写作。
2. 情感态度价值观目标:
了解世界上一些对人类有着重大意义的发明的相关信息,开阔学生的眼界,养成勤于思考,善于发现的好习惯,培养学生的创造精神。
二、教学重难点
1. 教学重点:
1)用英语介绍某一发明的简要过程。
2)掌握本单元所学的词汇、句型及语法知识,并能进行综合练习运用。
3)完成Self check部分的练习试题。
2. 教学难点:
用英语介绍某一发明的简要过程。
三、教学方法
使学生通过观察、思考、讨论、交流和合作等方式,在情境中体会语言、掌握语言的应用。
四、学法指导
在活动中相互探讨、相互交流、相互合作,从而获得知识、技能和情感体验,发展他们的能力。创建开放式,探究式的课堂,有意识渗透学习策略的训练。让学生学会使用认知策略;让学生进行口语交流,实现交际策略;引导学生交际,主动练习和实践。充分利用多媒体,录音,卡片等是资源策略。
五、教学过程
Ⅰ. Revision
1. Review the expressions and sentences in Section B .
2. Check the homework.
Let Ss introduce the history of basketball.
Ⅱ. Lead in
1. Ask Ss to have a free talk.
2. Let some Ss look at some pictures of basketball.
Ⅲ.Watching a video
1. Ask Ss to watch a video about freestyle basketball.
4. Let some Ss make a short report to retell the development of basketball to the class.
Ⅳ. Writing
Work on 3a: Tel students to think of something that you do not like to do .
1. Tell Ss to write a description of your new invention.
2. The following sentence structure may help you.
常用句型:
① I think … is a very useful invention. 我认为……是一项很有用的发明。
② … was invented by… ……是由……(某人)发明的
③ … was invented in… ……是在……(某时间)发明的
④ It was used for… 它被用来……
⑤ … is made of……… 是由……(材料)制成的
Then give a possible version to students.
Ⅴ. Self Check
Work on Self Check 1:
1. Read the words in the box and make sure they know the meaning of each word.
2. Read the passage and try to fill in the blanks with the proper word.
3. Read the passage again. Check if the forms of the words are correct.
4. Let some Ss read their answers. Correct the mistakes.
Work on Self Check 2
1. Tell Ss to rewrite the sentences using the passive voice.
2. 方法指导:
复习一般过去时态的被动语态的句子结构。
复习将主动语态句子变为被动语态句子的过程。
3. Ss work by themselves and try to rewrite the sentences.
4. Check the answers with the class.
