教学年级：五年级上 课题：Culture1:Weather around the World课型：文化课
一．教材分析 本课主要是探寻南北半球天气的不同，了解不同国家的地理位置、气候特点，季节与天气。
二．教学目标重难点 1.Teaching aims：Target of language knowledge:Able to master the new words: the North Pole,the South Pole,only,Kenya,all year round,from..to…Enable students to use the sentence patterns in the daily life :There is …,It’s from..to…Target of language technique：Able to use the new words and new patterns to talk about the reason of the weather in different countriesTarget of attitude emotion：1.Learn to cooperate with others2.Different places,different weather，different activities. Enjoy the seasons,enjoy your life3.To be proud of our great ChinaTarget of learning strategy：Be able to predicate the contents by some pictures and video.Target of cultural consciousness：2.Important points:To know the different weather around the world and be able to describe it briefly.3.Difficult point:Know the reason.of the different weather.To introduce the weather in different cities in China .
三．设计意图 本节课从学生视角，以微信群的形式，通过学生最为熟悉的人物Gogo去旅游引出他发的微信，从而引出几个来自不同国家的朋友，进而了解每个国家迥异的季节和天气情况。最后以鼓励学生加入微信群的方式介绍中国几个有特色的城市天气，传播中国文化。使学生思想升华到为我国地大物博的自豪，热爱四季，热爱生活。
四．教学设计 Step 1. Warm-up 1.A song .2.Free talk:What’s the weather like today What do you like doing Do you like playing with your friends Yeah,I like it too..I also like talking with my friends online.Step2 Presentation &Practice1. Read the message in my Wechat group .T: Listen, what’s the sound 2. Watch the pictures and talk3. Teach the new words: the North Pole, the South Pole.and the sound “th”4. Listen to Gogo’s message.Pre-listening questions:How many seasons are there at the Poles 5. Watch a viedo to guess where Lucy is from and talk about the weather and seasons.6.Retell the different seasons and weather and ask :Is there only one season in China,too No,there are four seasons in China. 1.Work in Pairs.2.Show time7. Read Jack’s message and compare with the differences by the form.8. Get to know the difference between the southern and northern hemisphere by a video.Step3 ConsolidationWe have known the different weather around the world. China is a very big country.Many cities have different weather.,A map of China to talk about the differences.And then present my message (model ).Sing it together.The weather in spring There are four seasons in China. Spring is from March to May. It's cold , snowy and rainy in Harbin. It's sunny and warm in Kunming. It’s sunny and hot in Sanya. I want to Harbin to make a snowman.This is my message.Do you want to join my wachat group Ok!Choose a season you like to introduce and write down in your group. Show time. Step4 Emotional educationDifferent places,different weather，different activities.Enjoy the seasons,enjoy your life.
