Play a game about date.
1. Read out the words about month and date and speak out the words as quickly as possible.
2. Look at the calendars and speak out the dates.
Step 3: Lead in.
Lead in the topic about festival through the game.
Step 4: Presentation.
1. Learn Spring Festival. (Listening)
1) Watch the video and answer: When's Spring Festival
2) Watch the video again and answer: What do people usually do
3) Learn the new words.
4) Have students open the mini book and read the passage about Spring Festival.
5) Have students finish the task1: Dub the video about Spring Festival.
2. Learn Mid-Autumn Festival. (Speaking)
1) Look at the pictures and guess: What festival is this
2) Have students answer: When's Mid-Autumn Festival
3) Watch and listen to the song and answer: What do people usually do
4) Learn the new words.
5) Have students open the mini book and finish task 2: Introduce Mid-Autumn Festival.
6) Group works: Try to introduce Mid-Autumn Festival with group mates.
7) Have one group to introduce Mid-Autumn Festival in front of the class.
3. Learn Christmas. (Reading)
1) Listen to a song and guess: What festival is this
2) Sing Christmas song together.
3) Have students open the mini book and finish task 3: Read the passage about Christmas and judge T or F.
4) Learn the new words.

4. Learn favorite festival. (Writing)
1) Learn the new word :favorite.
2) Have students open the mini book and finish task 4: Write and share: What's your favorite festival What do you usually do
3) Have students share the favorite festival in front of the class.
