　　感恩节是北美洲独有的节日，始于1621年。
1863年，美国总统林肯将它定为国家假日，并且规定每年11月的第四个星期四为美国的感恩节。
感恩节有四天假期。借着长假，很多人都会赶回家庆祝佳节，所以，美国感恩节的热闹程度绝不亚于中国的中秋节。
2016年的感恩节是：2016年11月24日。
美国感恩节由来:
1620年，“五月花”号船满载英国国内清教徒到达美洲。移民处在饥寒交迫之中，冬天过去时，移民只剩下50人。这时，心地善良的印第安人给移民送来了生活必需品，教他们狩猎、捕鱼种植玉米、南瓜。在印第安人的帮助下，移民们获得了丰收，在欢庆丰收的日子，按照宗教传统习俗，移民规定了感谢上帝的日子，并邀请他们一同庆祝节日。
