教学目标：
I.知识目标：
学生能够掌握重点词汇：possible；impossible；dangerous；servant; human; shape 等
学生能够掌握点句型：
Some scientists believe that there will be more robots in the future.
They think that robots will even be able to talk like humans in 25 to 5o years.
There are already robots working in factories.
II. 能力目标：
1、 通过文章阅读，学生了解如何阅读说明文，培养学生预测、计时阅读、寻读、略读、前缀猜词等阅读策略。
2、 一般将来时的运用。
III．情感目标：
学生了解未来机器人的发展趋势和对人类的影响，培养学生热爱科学的意识。
教学重点：一般将来时的运用。
教学难点：学生学会运用预测、计时阅读、寻读、略读、前缀猜词等阅读策略
教学工具： 多媒体、音频等。
教学过程：
I. Lead in
1. Greetings
2.A riddle game and crossword puzzle (谜语和字谜游戏)

(设计目的：通过字谜和填词游戏，激发学生的兴趣，引出本节课的主题----robots)
II. Preparation(呈现)
Free talk: What do robots look like
What can robots do
The teacher shows students some pictures about robots.
(New words: human; shape; factory; servant and so on. )
(设计目的：读前讨论两个和机器人有关的问题，激活了学生背景知识。在讨论问题时候，教师适当对文中的单词进行了处理。)
III.Reading
T: Do you want to have your own robots
Also, this class I want to teach you some reading strategies.
Pre-reading
1. Prediction(预测)
T: before reading, we can get some useful information from the title and the pictures. Let’s have a try.
The teacher shows the title and the picture of the passage and students finish task 1.
Task 1 The passage is about__________.

While-reading
2. Timed reading(计时阅读)
A student tells us what timed reading is.
Then, the students read the passage in 2 minutes and try to get some information.
After that, students say out the information they get.

3. Skimming (略读)
T: If you want to know what each paragraph talk about, what should we do
Then the teacher introduces the meaning of skimming.
Skimming: This means looking quickly through a piece of writing to find the main idea without reading every word. It's a good idea to read the first sentence in each paragraph a little more carefully.
Students finish task 3.
Task 3 Read the article and match each paragraph with the question it discusses. (读文章，连出每段讨论的问题)

Task 4 Read the article again quickly. Complete the sentences about what robots can do now. (再次快读阅读文章，完成句子)

5. Using prefixes to guess the meaning of words (用前缀猜词义)
T: When we read the passage, we must find some new words that we don’t know, right Here is a way for you.
Look at these two sentences.
She broke her leg and she unhappy and very sad.
Bob is fat , because he dislikes doing sports.
Un-; dis- are two prefixes. We add them to the beginning of words to give these words the opposite meaning.

Task 5 Find the sentences that have the same meanings in the passage
