从句是复合句中的一个句子成分，不能独立成句，但具有主语部分和谓语部分。
从句是陈述句语序，即主语+谓语
1.Our teacher told us that the earth goes around the sun.
2.Please tell me where she has gone.
3.I don’t know if he will come tonight.
4.Let’s find out what’s on tonight .
5.We are proud of that Beijing is one of the biggest cities in the world .

一、引导词（连词）
1. 当宾语从句是陈述句时（包括肯定句/否定句）,
1. He said, “life is better than before”.
2. He says, “Tom is a good student ”.
He said (that) life was better than before.
He says (that) Tom is a good student.
连词由that引导, 因为that在从句中不作任何成分，也没有任何具体意思，因此在口语或非正式文体中常省略。
2. 当宾语从句是一般疑问句时，
1. She asked, “ Do they often come here early ”
2. “Will they go to visit the Great Wall ” he asked.
She asked if/whether they often came here early.
He asked if/whether they would go to visit the Great Wall.
由连词whether 或if引导（口语中常用if），译为“是否”，不能省略。
If 与whether 的区别
I don’t know _____ he will come or not.
I don’t care of ______ he is handsome.
He wondered ______ to stay here the next week.
____ he will come is not decided.
与or not 连用只能用whether
介词后只能用whether
与to do 不定式连用只能用whether
作主语只能用whether
3.由连接代词 Who,whom,whose,which,what和连接副词 where,how,why,when引导的宾语从句。这些连词既有词义又充当句子成份。
e.g.
1)Do you know whose book it is （谁的，作定语）
2)Could you tell me why the train is late （为什么，作状语）
3)He asked who could answer the question.（谁，作主语）
二、语序
宾语从句的语序用陈述语序：
主句+引导词+主语+谓语+其他
He said, “Lucy is younger than Tom”.
He said (that) Lucy was younger than Tom.
He says (that) Tom is a good student.
He says, “ Tom is a good student.”
1.陈述句——基本不变
2. 问句——还原为陈述语序
be动词、情态动词及助动词(包have/has)放到从句主语之后;助动词do /does/ did 应删去, 谓语动词根据实际情况而变。

三.宾语从句中时态的变化

1.当主句是一般现在时，宾语从句的时态不作限制，我们可以根据句子的需要使用任何一种时态。
（需要性原则）
2.当主句是一般过去时的时候，宾语从句必须运用相应的过去的某一种时态，从而达到主句和从句的相互一致。（呼应性原则）

could / would是委婉语气，而不是过去式，因此宾语从句的时态根据实际情况用不同时态。
注意事项
1.Could you please tell me where we show our tickets
2.Would you like to know when he will come back
当宾语从句说明的是客观存在的事实或者是客观存在的真理时，就不用受到主句时态的限制，仍是用一般现在时态。（特殊性原则）
