一、教学目标
1.通过阅读短文《大雁为什么迁徙？》，完成调查报告，帮助学生进一步巩固新学语言知识。
2.帮助学生学习字母组合ir, ur, au, oor在单词中的发音。
3.通过阅读查找、整理信息的技能了解动物迁徙的原因，学习了解简单的科普知识类小短文。

Part A
I. Warm-up
Show and tell
学生展示自己家的平面图或者照片，介绍自己的家。
S1: There are ... in my home. I like the ... because ... / I don’t like the ... because ...
设计意图：引导学生在介绍自己家的活动中，巩固所学知识，同时为本节课的学习奠定基础。
II. Presentation
1. Think and say
教师出示问题让学生思考并说出原因。
Do you want to change your home Why or why not
设计意图：引出本节课话题。
2. Brainstorm
教师在PPT上呈现Wild geese change homes.让学生自由说出：why, where, how。
设计意图：通过活动激发学生兴趣，同时让学生初步感知本节课要讲的内容。
3. Listen and answer
教师播放Look and read部分录音，并让学生听音回答问题：
(1) Why do wild geese have busy lives
Because they change homes twice every year.
(2) Why do wild geese move around so much
In winter, they cannot _______ ______ ________ in the north, so they fly _____ in __________.
In spring, it is ______ in the _______, so they ______ __________.
设计意图：通过教师出示问题，可以锻炼学生的听力能力，同时提升提取关键信息的能力。
4. Read and judge
教师就短文内容给出4个句子，让学生阅读文章并作出判断。
设计意图：通过细节阅读，加深学生对短文的理解。
5. Read and follow
教师播放Look and read部分录音，学生进行跟读，模仿语音语调。
设计意图：通过跟读，可以纠正学生的语音语调，锻炼学生的倾听能力。
III. Practice
1. Read, think and retell
老师让学生先读课文，然后完成表格，最后根据表格进行课文复述。
设计意图：复述课文，增强学生的语言运用的能力。
2. Think and say
老师让学生思考还有什么动物会迁徙。
Only wild geese change homes
Do other animals change homes
教师出示第一张熊的图片，之后教师出示自己找到的资料，引导学生继续找一找其他动物的资料。
S1: Some bears do not change homes. They sleep in caves all winter. In spring, they come out to find food. Some bears change homes. They move to warm places in winter and come back in spring.
设计意图：引导学生查找更多信息，同时拓宽知识，激发学生兴趣。
3. Find and say
找到并说说。让学生模仿教师介绍天鹅的迁徙情况，然后介绍其他的动物迁徙习惯。
S1: ... change homes too. They ...
设计意图：本活动可以让学生通过阅读和查找资料了解动物迁徙的原因，激发学生的兴趣，拓展学生的知识面。
Part B
I. Presentation
1. Look and learn
教师出示Learn the sounds部分单词的图片，教师教授单词skirt, purse, Laura, floor并帮助学生学习ir, ur, au, oor字母的语音。
设计意图：通过出示图片，让学生看图学习单词，将图片与意义结合起来，更好的帮助学生理解学习词汇。
2. Let’s chant
教师出示Learn the sounds部分的歌谣，让学生自己看着尝试读一读。注意强调字母ir, ur, au, oor的发音。
Laura wants to buy a new skirt.
The old one is too small.
But she cannot find her purse.
It is not on the door.
“It’s over there,” says her mum,
“Just on the floor!”
设计意图：通过让学生自己尝试着读，可以激发学生的求知欲，同时更好的帮助学生学习理解知识。
3. Read and follow
教师播放Learn the sounds的录音，学生跟读，模仿发音。
设计意图：通过跟读，可以纠正学生的语音语调，锻炼学生的倾听能力。
II. Practice
1. Let’s read
教师在PPT上一个一个的出示带有字母ir, ur, au, oor的单词: shirt, bird, nurse, urban, urge, turn, author, sauce, autumn, poor, boor等，让学生根据发音规则读出来。
设计意图：学生通过读单词的活动，进一步锻炼ir, ur, au, oor的发音规则。
2. Read and sort
读读分类。PPT出示一些字母ir, ur, au, oor音节的单词，让学生进行分类。

设计意图：引导学生在分类活动中，巩固所学，同时了解字母ir, ur, au, oor的音节。
IV. Homework
找出其他的动物迁徙习惯并与同学分享。
