第2课时
一、教学目标
1. 学生能够掌握并运用序数词来表示日期和生日，并运用核心词汇和句型询问他人生日。
2. 帮助学生了解字母组合st在单词中的发音。
3. 通过Culture corner，帮助学生了解中西方接受礼物时的不同礼仪。
二、教学重难点
重点：
1. 能在语境中掌握理解词汇：when, party, begin, bring, thing, favourite, interesting
2. 能够掌握理解运用日常用语：That sounds interesting. I can’t wait!
3. 能够掌握语音：st（toast，postman）
难点：运用核心词汇和句型询问他人生日。

四、教学过程
I. Warm-up
Let’s watch
让学生观看并跟唱Months of the year song，复习关于月份的单词。
设计意图：复习已有知识，并为下面的热身问答活动做铺垫。
II. Presentation
1. Listen and answer
教师出示Listen and say部分图片，并播放Listen and say部分录音，让学生看图听音回答问题。
(1) When is Peter’s birthday
It’s on 26th September.
(2) What’s the theme of this party
Orange party.
设计意图：通过让学生听音看图回答问题，可以锻炼学生听音及观察提取关键信息的能力，同时对文本内容有初步的理解。
2. Read and match
听听猜猜。引述课文中人物说的话，让学生说出该句话是哪个人说的。
设计意图：培养学生的专注力及理解能力。
3. Choose and fill
选择填空。将课文部分句子挖空，让学生根据行文选择填空。
设计意图：通过让学生阅读文本内容，并找出问题答案，进一步巩固对文章的整体把握。
4. Listen and follow
教师播放Listen and say部分录音，学生进行跟读，模仿人物语音语调。
设计意图：通过模仿录音，可以再次帮助学生巩固文本的学习，形成良好的语音语调。
5. Look and answer
教师出示Learn the sounds的图片让学生回答从图片中能看到哪些物品。
设计意图：该部分起到承上启下的作用，帮助完成课程的有效衔接。
6. Let’s learn
教师出示Learn the sounds中toast及postman的图片与单词，学生学习。
设计意图：通过出示图片与单词，图义结合，更好的帮助学生掌握与了解单词。
7. Try to read
教师出示更多含有st字母组合的单词，学生看一看并尝试朗读。
east，first，must，just，last，cost，most，coast，list，fast等。
设计意图：通过尝试朗读，可以帮助学生再次巩固st字母组合的发音规则。
8. Listen and answer
教师出示邮递员在路灯下的图片，播放Learn the sounds的录音，学生听录音看图回答问题。
(1) Where’s the post office
It’s near the lamp post.
(2) What’s in the post office？
There’s a postman.
(3) What is the postman doing
He is eating a piece of toast.
设计意图：通过听录音看图回答问题，可以更好的帮助学生理解本部分内容，同时锻炼学生看图观察及听音提取关键信息的能力。
9. Listen and follow
教师播放Learn the sounds部分录音，学生进行跟读，模仿其语音语调。
设计意图：通过模仿录音语音语调，可以帮助学生纠正语音语调，形成良好的发音习惯。
III. Practice
1. Role play
角色扮演。学生两人一组表演Listen and say部分，分别饰演Peter与Joe.
设计意图：角色扮演，可以培养学生的表演自信心，同时培养小组合作能力与口语输出能力。
2. Complete and say
教师出示Listen and say部分后面的练习题，学生完成。
设计意图：通过学生完成练习题，考察学生对Listen and say部分的理解及掌握。
IV. Production
1. Look and say
教师出示Make and say部分图片，让学生看图并回答如何制作一张生日派对邀请卡。
设计意图：引导学生明白制作生日派对邀请卡的步骤，为后面学生自己的制作奠定基础。
2. Make and say
制作并说一说。学生模仿Make and say部分制作邀请卡，设计样式并写上内容。制作完成并说一说。
S1: My birthday is on 1st May. Please come to my birthday party.
设计意图：本活动可以培养学生的口语输出能力，同时巩固并运用本节课所学，检查学生本节知识掌握情况。
3. Let’s discuss
出示Culture corner两幅图片，让学生看图并阅读本部分内容回答问题：
How do Chinese and Western countries treat gifts differently
In China, people usually do not open gifts right away.
In Western countries, people usually open gifts right away.
设计意图：本活动可以让学生明白不同的文化现象，了解中西方接受礼物方面的礼仪。
V. Homework
1. 学生两人一组表演Listen and say部分对话。
2. 找出更多国家文化差异。
