第3课时
一、教学目标
1. 复习巩固频度副词always, usually, often, sometimes, never的用法,使学生能够在口语交际中熟练运用这些频度副词。
2. 训练学生运用本单元句型What do you usually do with your grandparents I usually play sport / go shopping / ... with my grandparents.谈论自己和爷爷奶奶在一起经常做的事情。
3.通过一系列的课堂活动,训练学生口语表达能力、阅读图表的能力和课堂展示能力,增强他们的自信心。
4. 学会孝顺长辈,感受亲情的美好。
二、教学重难点
教点:复习巩固本单元出现的频度副词的用法。
难点:使学生运用所学词汇和句型自由谈论自己和爷爷奶奶在一起经常做的事情,完成一系列阅读任务,逐步提升学生的口语表达能力、阅读能力和课堂展示能力。

Warm-up
1. Look and say
课件呈现一组图片,给出语言支架,让学生观察图片、参考语言支架描述自己和爷爷奶奶在一起时常做的事情。

设计意图:复习巩固频度副词的用法,回忆本单元的重点句型,同时训练学生口语表达能力。
2. Ask and answer
课件呈现Ben和Anne常跟爷爷奶奶一起做的事情,让学生两人一组,对图片内容进行问答练习。课件给出语言支架供学生参考。

设计意图:设置情景,为接下来的阅读任务做铺垫。
2. Look and judge
让学生观察调查表,判断下列句子是否正确。
(1)Liu Xu usually writes emails to his grandparents. ( )

(3)Liu Xu and his grandparents often play sport together. ( )

让学生观察李一琳同学和爷爷奶奶在一起的情况,提出问题:“他经常和爷爷奶奶待在一起吗?你想对他说些什么?”,让学生思考并试着运用所学语言回答问题。(教师板书:He sometimes calls or visits his grandparents. But he never takes walks or goes shopping with them.)
设计意图:训练学生通过观察图表获取有用信息并创造性回答问题的能力。在完成课堂任务的同时引发学生思考:我们平时在忙学习的时候,也应该抽出时间看望并陪伴爷爷奶奶,让他们享受天伦之乐。
Culture corner
T:You should often spend time with grandparents, especially on their birthdays or special festivals.
完成前面阅读任务后,教师总结:我们应该多陪伴爷爷奶奶,尤其在他们生日或特殊节日的时候。然后引出中国的重阳节和西方的祖父母节这两个节日,让学生观看关于两个节日的视频,介绍这两个节日是在什么时候。
设计意图:在学习语言的同时,进行文化意识的渗透,让学生了解中西方文化的差异。
III. Practice
1. Read and order
呈现关于重阳节和祖父母节的四幅图片,给出四个句子,让学生读句子将图片标号。
设计意图:帮助学生进一步了解这两个节日。
2. Look and talk
呈现四幅图片,给出语言支架,学生两人一组,谈论图中人物和爷爷奶奶在一起时常做的事情。

设计意图:帮助学生复习巩固本单元重点词汇和句型。

呈现一组图片,每幅图片给出一个频度副词,学生接龙介绍图片中人物和爷爷奶奶在一起时常做的事情。课件呈现语言支架供学生参考。

设计意图:让学生反复使用频度副词表达思想,训练学生的口语表达能力和语言运用能力。

设计意图:让学生运用所学频度副词和句型进行写作练习,训练学生的写作能力。
2. Ask and report
学生调查小组成员和爷爷奶奶在一起时常做的事情,然后记录并汇报。
Ask:

Report:
Alice usually plays chess with her grandpa. She sometimes plays sport with her grandma. But she never ... Nancy always ...
设计意图:使学生进一步巩固对本单元重点内容的掌握情况,锻炼口语表达能力,同时培养学生合作学习的意识,让他们在合作中获得学习的快乐。
Fill and write
教师提出问题:“How do you spend your holiday ”,学生思考并完成表格,然后根据表格内容写一写自己的假期通常都是怎样度过的。
设计意图:让学生综合运用所学语言进行写作练习,使学生能够整合自己已经掌握的语言并进行迁移,训练学生的写作能力和语言运用能力。
