I. Warm-up
1. Look and say
课件呈现一组图片和语言支架,学生参考语言支架和图片描述自己和爷爷奶奶在一起时常做的事情。
I often play chess with my grandparents.
I always / usually / often / sometimes / never ...
设计意图:复习巩固上节课所学的频度副词。
Think and talk
学生两人一组,谈论彼此和爷爷奶奶/爸爸妈妈/同学等在一起时常做的事情。课件呈现语言支架供学生参考:
A: What do you usually do with your grandparents / parents / classmates / ...
B: I always visit them at the weekend. I usually ... with my ... I sometimes ...
A: Do you often ... with your ...
B: Yes, I do. / No, I don’t. I never ...
设计意图:复习巩固上节课的重点词汇和句型,同时训练学生口语表达能力。
3. Watch and say
学生观看视频,视频讲述了小狗Spot去看望爷爷奶奶,以及它在爷爷奶奶家所做的事情。视频结束后,教师询问学生:“Do you often visit your grandparents ”,引发学生思考。
设计意图:通过观看一个故事,激发学生的学习兴趣,同时也引出本课话题,为学习本课知识做铺垫。
II. Presentation
1. Look and learn
(1)T:Jane, Liu Mei, Li Ming and David often visit their grandparents at the weekend.
课件呈现四个小孩的图片,教师介绍:“他们周末经常去看望爷爷奶奶”。
T:Jane usually goes shopping with her grandma. Her grandma always makes nice food for her. David usually watches TV with his grandpa. They sometimes take walks together.
通过图片介绍Jane and David和爷爷奶奶在一起时常做的事情,呈现本课新词汇go shopping,引导学生体会其含义和用法。同时再次呈现本单元频度副词usually, always, sometimes和本单元重点句型,加深学生对前面所学内容的理解和记忆。(教师板书:go shopping, Jane usually goes shopping with her grandma. Her grandma always makes nice food for her. They sometimes take walks together.)
(3)T:Liu Mei often goes shopping with her grandma. They sometimes go to the park together.
Li Ming often goes to the farm with his grandpa. He sometimes feeds the chickens. His grandpa always does the farm work. But Li Ming never does that. Li Ming says to his grandpa, “Grandpa, I want to help you. I can do that, too.”
教师继续介绍Liu Mei and Li Ming和爷爷奶奶在一起时常做的事情,再次呈现本单元频度副词often, sometimes, always, never和本课新词汇go shopping以及本单元重点句型,加深学生对这些内容的理解和记忆。(教师板书:Liu Mei often goes shopping with her grandma. His grandpa always does the farm work. But Li Ming never does that.)
设计意图:教师创设情境,带领学生学习本课新词汇,同时复习回顾本单元所学的频度副词和重点句型,也为完成接下来的阅读任务打基础。
2. Watch and answer
让学生观看视频,回答课件上的问题。
设计意图:通过观看文章的情景演示视频,并回答问题。可以帮助学生初步了解文章大意。
3. Read and answer
阅读文章回答问题。让学生读文章并自己组织语言回答问题。
设计意图:通过阅读故事,帮助学生了解故事内容,同时训练学生的阅读理解能力。
4. Read and judge
让学生阅读故事,判断课件上个两个句子是否正确。
设计意图:进一步的阅读活动帮助学生巩固对文章大意的理解。
5. Read and fill
让学生阅读故事,填空完成句子。
设计意图:通过读和写的活动,锻炼学生提取和抓住文章主要信息的能力。
6. Listen and repeat
教师播放本课故事的录音,学生听并跟读录音。
设计意图:在理解文章内容的基础上跟读录音,纠正语音语调。
III. Practice
1. Role-play
四个学生(Mary, John, Grandma, Coco)一组,表演本课故事。
设计意图:加深学生对本课内容的理解和记忆,同时培养学生口语表达能力和课堂展示能力。
2. Look and say
课件呈现一组图片,学生根据图片谈论自己和爷爷奶奶在一起时常做的事情。课件呈现语言支架供学生参考。
I like visiting my grandparents.
We always have a big meal together. I usually ... with them.
I often ... We sometimes ...
But we never ... together.
设计意图:复习巩固频度副词的用法,让学生灵活使用频度副词去表达思想,锻炼学生的口语表达能力。
3. Make a dialogue
课件出示两个表格,表格显示了安和吉姆跟爷爷奶奶一起常做的事情,学生两人一组,对表格内容进行谈论。课件呈现语言支架供学生参考。
A: What does Ann usually do with her grandparents
B: She always ... with her ... They usually ...
A: What does Jim usually do with his grandparents
B: They always ... together. He usually ... with ...
设计意图:复习巩固本课新词以及本单元频度副词和重点句型,让学生反复使用这些词汇和句型去与人交流,锻炼学生的口语表达能力和语言运用能力。
IV. Production
Let’s continue the story
(1)通过图片呈现故事的结尾部分,课件呈现四个句子,学生观察图片和句子,并将句子的标号填到图片中相应位置。
(2)课件给出语言支架,让学生试着讲述一下故事的结尾部分。
设计意图:让学生完整地了解故事内容,同时训练学生的观察能力和讲述故事的能力。
Fill, write and share
课件呈现一个表格,表格中展示一些活动内容:给爷爷奶奶打电话/发邮件、看望爷爷奶奶、陪爷爷奶奶散步/购物/做运动,让学生填出自己一个月内做这些事情的次数。完成表格后,以Spend time with grandparents为题写一篇文章并向班级同学分享文章。
设计意图:让学生反复练习使用本单元所学词汇和句型,加深学生对所学内容的理解和记忆,做到学以致用,提升学生的写作能力。同时让学生反思自己是否能够经常陪伴爷爷奶奶,让学生懂得感恩和回馈。
Think and say
通过前面一系列的课堂活动,让学生思考爷爷奶奶经常为我们做什么,我们从未为他们做过什么,以及今后自己应该怎么做。
设计意图:在本节课的最后,引导学生体会家人的爱,教育学生学会感恩和孝敬长辈,从而达成本节课的情感目标。
V. Homework
1. 听读本课故事。
2. 练习用英语介绍自己和爷爷奶奶在一起时常做的事情。
