Step 1 Revision and lead in Questions :1.What are you going to do when you grow up 2.Do you want to know something about robots 3.Show a short movie about robots. Answer the teacher’s questions and try to use “will “. 通过复习上一单元的重点句型过渡到本单元对will 的学习,达到温故而知新的效果。通过机器人视频来导入本课,使学生对机器人产生浓厚兴趣的同时增强对本课的学习兴趣。
Step 2 Presentation1.Robot Future tells us How will the world be different 100 years from now 2.Show students the six sentences in 1a . 1.Read the predictions together .2. Say some ideas about the predictions using I agree that --- and I disagree that ---. 通过领读与重复使学生有足够的语言输入,以便在下一步中能够顺利的进行语言输出。
Step 3 Presentation and practice 1.Show the target language Will people use money in 100 years No, they won’t. Everything will be free.2.Ask students to work in groups to make a similar conversation. 1. Read the conversation between Candy and the Robot Future together.2.One student act Robot Future and make a conversation with others . 通过对机器人的扮演来表达对未来的猜测,能够激发学生的思维,活跃课堂气氛。同时,通过机械性的和发散性的练习来达到熟练运用本节重点句型的目的。
Step 4 Listening Two boys are talking about the future too . Let’s listen .Play the tape . Listen and circle the predictions in 1a . 通过听力训练让学生再一次熟悉本节课的重点内容,同时也培养了学生们的听力。
Step 5 Presentation1. Robot Future comes here aganin ,something bad might happen in your future ,say something about the photos using “more” “fewer” “ less”.2. Teach students how to use “more” “fewer” “ less”. Try to describe the photosusing as many words as possible . 通过对图片的描述来掌握重点单词more ,fewer ,less的用法。同时再一次引入机器人Future 吸引学生参与热情的同时唤起学生对环境问题的重视。
Step 6 Listening Play the tape and check the answers . Listen and finish the exercises in 2a and 2b . 本环节重在训练学生的听力,训练学生听选信息的能力。
Step 7 Writing 1.Robot Future comes again.2.Ask students to write an article about how to save our earth.2.Ask one student to show his article on the blackboard . Write an article .one student to share his article on the Bb. 本环节通过对保护地球的表达来训练学生的写作能力,同时也唤起学生对环境问题的重视,号召学生关爱地球、爱护环境。
Step 8 A game Show eight sentences in the game . Try to translate the sentences as quickly as possible . 通过“幸运大转盘”来调动学生回答问题的参与热情,同时检测学生对本单元重点句型的掌握情况。
Step 9 Consolidation What have we learned during this class Try to sum up the key points during the class . 让学生学会总结当堂所学内容,训练学生的自主学习能力。
