一、教材内容分析:
本课是人民教育出版社出版的新目标Go for it 八年级上册unit 8 how do you make a banana milk shake 的第一课时。本单元以如何制作香蕉奶昔为话题,引出本单元目标语言:学习询问和描述一种食物的制作过程。在如何制作香蕉奶昔的对话中,学生将感知本单元的主要语言结构:祈使句的运用;how many/how much 引导的特殊疑问句。该教学内容比较接近我们的现实生活,学生对此充满了兴趣,因此通过创设情境,让学生动手实践,使语言学以致用,激发学生的积极性和体会在动手实践中学英语的乐趣。

Ability Objects 1). Learn to describe a process of making a kind of food.2) Learn to follow instructions.3. Moral Objects Make something with our own hands and share with others. We can get happiness and success from it. Have more healthy foods and drinks, but eat less junk food.
三、学习者特征分析
本课的教学对象是八年级学生,在英语的学习方面已经有了一定的基础,已经学会利用音标拼读单词、记单词,并能用正确的语凋朗读课文,但班级里学生的英语水平参差不齐,能力强的同学希望在课堂上多说多练,而基础较差的学生没有开口的信心,难以调动起学习的兴趣,但这个年龄段的学生自制能力较差,好奇心强,喜欢新鲜事物,喜欢动手参与,但学习状态不稳定,仍需要引导。所以这节课我设计了两个任务分组完成,在课堂上应用大量实物,让学生动手制作,学生在做的过程中掌握目标语言结构。
四、教学策略选择与设计
本节课我采用任务教学为主并融入演示法、情景教学法,激发并发挥学生的学习积极性,让学生积极动口,动手,动脑,激活英语课堂,让学生真正成为课堂的主体。通过实际操作演示和视频演示帮助学生掌握如何描述过程,在学生熟练后鼓励学生自己设计食物并描述制作过程。布置任务“如何制作香蕉奶昔”的完成,让学生将所学的内容利用起来,并且应用到生活当中,体验到学以致用的成就感和快乐。以任务为中心的任务型语言教学是目前交际教学思想中的一种新发展形态。它倡导“做中学”的教育理念,将语言应用的基本理念转化为具有实践意义的课堂教学方式。运用任务组织教学强化了语言时间的过程,充分体现了语言的交际本质。学生以任务为学习动机,以合作学习等方式完成任务的过程为学习过程,以展示人物成果的方式来体现教学成就。

StepⅠ. Warming upGreet the whole class T: What’s your favorite fruit S: apple, orange, strawberry, banana, pear, watermelon. … T:What’s your favorite drink S: Water/ milk/ juice/ tea…Step II. Presentation 1. Lead-inBring one kind of drinks to the class and invite one student to drink and try to guess what things are in it. Lead students to say out a banana milk shake and other kinds of fruit milk shake and ask students if they like banana milk shake.2. A video show Let students watch a video. Then ask students try to remember how to make a banana milk shake. 3. Teach the names of all items. This activity focuses on the vocabulary and structures introduced in this period.Teacher shows the pictures to students, and makes students know the process of making milk shake. Describe each action and write down the following key words on the blackboard: (peel the bananas, cut up the bananas, put the bananas and the ice-cream/ yogurt in the blender, pour the milk into the blender, turn on the blender; drink the milk shake) Step Ⅲ. Practice1. Listening This activity gives students practice understanding the target language in spoken conversation.Play the recording the first time, have students listen and find out the answer to the question, then check the answer. Point out the list of actions and let students number. Play the recording again and check the answers.2. Review the steps of making a banana milk shake.3. Memory testThis activity aims to check if students master key vocabulary.Have students read the short article on paper and then fill in the blanks. Check the answers on the screen.4. “DIY” timeLet students write down the process of making a banana milk shake on paper and discuss with other students.Invite two students to the front and make a banana milk shake for others. One student say the instructions and the other one follow the instructions to makes it.5. Pair work This activity provides oral practice using the target language.Let students read the model with a partner. Have students work in pairs to make their own conversations about how to make one kind of fruit milk shake.
