I.Teaching content:
本节课是上海版牛津英语四年级上册Module 4, Unit 11 Shapes的第一课时单词和句型教学。

1. Aims on the knowledge
1)帮助学生学习表示形状的单词;
rectangles, triangles, squares, circles, stars.
2)通过point and say的活动,说说不同事物的形状,帮助学生巩固所学生词;
3)通过Listen and say的对话,帮助学生理解核心句型

2. Aims on the abilities
1) 通过Ask and answer 问答活动,帮助学生操练核心句型,能用核心句型对物品的数量进行提问。
2) 通过形状拼图活动,帮助学生发挥想象力,建立形状与生活的练习,通过介绍拼图作品,帮助学生运用核心句型。
3. Aims on the emotion
认识周围常见事物的形状,养成良好的观察能力。

1. 掌握课文中的形状词汇:rectangles, triangles, squares, circles, stars

VI. Teaching designing
Step 1. Warm-up
1. Greeting
Greeting and introduce myself to the students.
2. Enjoy the song
Ask Ss to enjoy the song, after enjoy the song ask Ss to answer the questions: What can you hear /What can you see
3. Tell: Today, we will talk about “shapes”.
Step 2.Cut the shapes and learn the words.
1. Show a piece of paper, teach a rectangle
1)Ask: Look at the paper. What shape is it
2)Stick the shape and write the word, read it.
2. Show a rectangle paper. Use scissor cut the paper, teach triangle
1)Ask: Is it a rectangle No, it isn’t. It’s a triangle.
2)Stick the shape and write the word, read it.
3. Show two triangles. Teach square.
1)Ask: What shape is it How many triangles
2)Use two triangles make a square. Then teach square.
4. Use a square paper, cut a circle.
1)Ask: What shape is it Cut the paper.
2)Then teach circle.
4. Use a circle paper , cut a star.
1)Ask: What shape is it Cut the paper.
2)Then teach star.
5. Point and say the shapes.
Eg. Look ,this is_________.(物品)
It’s __________.(颜色)
It’s a ________.(形状)
6. Chant together
Step 3. Make a picture. Ask and answer
1. Teacher make a picture first.
Eg: This is a fish.
How many triangles are there
How many circles are there
2. Task 1: Look at the picture. Let students count the shapes.
Give students three pictures. Let students do a survey.

Use the table , ask and answer your desk mate, then make a dialogue.

Let students use shapes, make a picture. Then introduce the picture.
Eg: What is it What shapes can you see

Step 4. Enjoy more shapes .
Show students more shapes ,and some buildings ,ask students what shapes can you see And how many shapes can you see
