Ⅰ. Teaching aims

In this lesson, the emotional aim is to help Ss to recognize how things change and develop, and value the love from your parents and friends, try to work for our society.

1) The key points: New words, new sentence patterns.
2) The difficult points: Improve students’ abilities of listening, speaking, reading and writing .
Ⅲ. Teaching methods
Thirdly, it talks about teaching methods.
In this lesson, I’ll mainly use “TPR teaching method” and “communicative language teaching method”.
And in this lesson, cards, CAI (computer aided instruction) will be needed.

Show some pictures of the activities, such as playing pijin, playing toy bricks and so on.
2). Play a game.
3). Learn the new words: ant, insect.
4). Talk about the activities you used to like or dislike.
e.g. S1. I used to like P.E. class when I was a child.
I didn’t use to like music class when I was a child.
3. Practice
Work on 1a
1). Let Ss check the things they used to like.
2). Let some Ss talk about the activities they used to like or dislike very much.
3). Play a game: Brain storming
Work on 1b:
1). Let Ss try to write some sentences. Then discuss with their partners.
e.g. I used to like painting pictures.
2). Let some Ss talk about the things they used to like.
3). Rush to answer.

4. Pair work
Let Ss talk about the things they used to like with their partners.
5. Listening
Work on 1c:
1). Tell Ss to read the sentences in 1c and try to understand the meaning of them.
2). Listen and check the sentences Ss hear.

1. Listen again and fill in the blanks with the right words.
2. Check the answers with the class.
Exercise:
Listen again and try to answer the questions according to the recording.
