1. Knowledge aims: Master the new words: produce, widely, process, pack and phrases: be known for, be famous for.
2. Ability aims: Ss can master the passive voice;
Ss can talk about the products fluently.
Teaching important point:
Master the usage of be made of & be made in.
Teaching difficult point:
The usage of passive voice.
Teaching steps
Step 1 Lead in
T: Please look at the pictures on the board, when you see them, speak it in English, OK
Ss: ……
T: Can you tell me what these things made of
Ss: ……
(通过谈论学生熟悉的日常用品,激发学生的表达欲望,使学生体验到了学习知识的意义。)
Step 2 Practice
1. Finish 1a.
2. Listen to 1b and finish the task.
3. Role-play.
(通过学习1a,使学生对被动结构有所了解;通过1b,锻炼学生
听力及抓取关键信息的能力。)
4. Listen and finish 2a,2b.
5. Follow the recording and read it aloud.
6. Role play the conversation and present in front of the class.
Step 3 Presentation
as far as I know, by hand, be good for, all over the world, be famous for.
Ss discuss these phrases in groups and then invite a group to show for the class. And other Ss should give their questions after showing.
Step 4 2d
1. Show some pictures about Chinese tea.
2. Listen and answer the questions.
1) What are they talking about
2) What places are mentioned in the conversation
3) Why do people drink tea
(将听、说、读、写的任务结合起来不仅锻炼了学生的语言综合运用能力,还巩固了学生对目标语言的学习、识记和运用。)
1. Ask Ss to find the process of making tea and underline the key sentences. Then invite some groups to present on the blackboard.
2. Check the process together and tell Ss to conclude the sentence into one word (plant, pick, pack) and show 3Ps on the blackboard.

Review the passive voice and ask Ss to use these key words to talk about the process of making tea in English.
