hope的用法:
hope为动词,意为“希望”。常见用法如下:
(1)hope to do sth.希望做某事。
I hope to go to university after I graduate.
(2)hope for sth.希望得到某物。

(3)hope + that从句
I hope that I can raise some money for the people in poor area.
【注意】hope不能用作hope sb.to do sth.。但其同义词wish和expect都可以。

give advice
(1)give advice意为“提建议”。
(2)advice为不可数名词,意为“建议,忠告,劝告”,可用作a piece of advice,意为“一条建议”。在某方面提供建议时,常与介词on搭配。

【拓展】advise v.建议;忠告。可用作advise sb.to do sth.意为“建议某人做某事”。

accept既可以作及物动词也可以作不及物动词,意为“接受,认可”,指经过考虑,由主观意志来决定接受,动作者本身是主动的。

【拓展】receive作动词,意为“收到”,指收到某物这一动作,本身有一定的被动性,不包含本身是否愿意接受的意思。
