Born in 1982, ShenYang, Lang Lang grew up in a family with a strict father and a kind mother.
Falling in love with music from an early age, he learned to play the piano when he was 3. Having studied music for 6 years, he attended a piano school in Beijing. At the age of 15, he moved with his father to Philadelphia, where he won a music scholarship.

Development
In 1994, he won the International Young Pianists Competition. Besides, he performed at the US Grammy Awards and China’s 60th Anniversary. By the time he was 17,he had won international prizes and given solo concerts for many times.
Now Lang Lang is well known around the world and he improves the cultural communication between China and western countries. His success also encourages children and young musicians to take up classical music.
