Barbie (芭比) dolls collecting is a very popular hobby for young girls. You can collect dolls, their clothes, beds and so on. Barbies can have many different jobs. You can dress them as a doctor, a policewoman, a driver and even a cook and play with them.
Bettina Dorfman, from Germany, has 15,000 Barbie dolls. She has collected Barbie dolls for 20 years. The 53-year-old collector had an interest in Barbie dolls when she was just a little girl. “They are great fun for children. You can wash their hair, change their clothes and buy new clothes for them,” said Bettina.
In 1959, the first Barbie came out in America. It was created by Mattel, Inc., a toy company. Later she became one of the most popular dolls in the world.
