教学内容：北京版教材六年级上学期第七单元谈论的是中国的生肖文化。十二生肖是中国传统文化的代表，与我们的生活联系十分密切。本单元共有三个新授课，呈递进关系，分别谈论了生肖名称及其循环规律、生肖名称的来历及顺序、最喜欢的动物及生肖特征、生肖邮票，练习中还出现了部分生肖习语，从多角度谈论了生肖文化。学生能够理解并会使用“How often does each animal come around Every twelve years. Which animal was the first of the twelve It’s the rat .Grandma likes the dog best. She is as caring as the dog.”这三组功能句与他人讨论生肖的名称与顺序、十二年一轮回及生肖性格特征等。除了这些语言的运用，本次实践活动课主要是介绍生肖性格特征及其有关生肖习语和生肖文化等，所运用的语言主要有“ He/She was born in the year of the….” “ His/Her birth year animal is the ….”. “He/She is as …as a ….”。 我以十二生肖文化为主题，开展了丰富多彩的实践活动。学生通过各种实践活动，感受生肖文化的博大精深。他们通过参与、探究、合作等方式，不断提高语言表达能力，进而提高学习能力、思维品质和文化品格。
教学目标(内容框架)
1. 学生能够熟练说出生肖名称，能在语境中谈论生肖顺序，说出自己或他人出生在哪一年，生肖动物是什么，并能理解有关生肖性格特征的词汇，并根据所学主要句型“She/He is as …as a ….”描述他人的生肖性格特征。2．学生能够通过上网查阅资料，自主学习了解更多的生肖起源知识、生肖寓意及性格特征，并以名人及家人为例说明生肖与人的性格有一定的关联，感受中国的生肖文化。3. 学生能够找出与生肖动物相关的英语习语2-3个，并能够通过电子词典、电脑等初步自主学习生单词的发音，能够进行展示交流。4. 学生能够在小组活动中通过讨论、交流等方式确定小组展示的形式和内容，分工合作，共同完成准备工作。5. 学生能够在模拟情景中完成交流展示的任务，表演有关生肖动物的小故事，介绍生肖动物的特征以及中国的生肖文化，感受多样的文化传播方式，并通过介绍西方动物习语体会不同文化差异。教学重点： 学生能够熟练说出生肖名称；能在语境中谈论生肖顺序；能说出自己或他人出生在哪一年；生肖动物是什么；能理解有关生肖性格特征的词汇，并根据所学主要句型“She/He is as …as a ….”描述他人的生肖性格特征。教学难点：学生在模拟情景中完成交流展示的任务，表演有关生肖动物的小故事，介绍生肖动物的特征以及中国的生肖文化，感受多样的文化传播方式，并通过介绍西方动物习语体会不同文化差异。

I’m looking forward for your performances. In the next part, if you can answer the questions, you can get the beautiful pictures. Now, welcome our lovely hostess.【设计意图】复习本单元所学知识，引出小主持人。二、引题：创设情景，导入主题（3’）十二年前玉皇大帝通过游泳比赛选出了十二生肖动物，今天玉皇大帝又举行了一场“十二生肖我最棒”的比赛，目的是评选出最受欢迎的生肖动物。Hostess: Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen! It is a great honor for me to be the hostess for the party today. Twelve years ago, the Jade Emperor chose the twelve animals by a swimming race. Now please allow me to introduce the twelve animals: rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, sheep, monkey, rooster, dog and pig. The Jade Emperor wants to know which animal is the best. So today they come back. First they bring us a song “What's Your Zodiac Sign”.
