Students listen and repeat several times.2 Introduce the words ‘rice’, ‘soup’, ‘egg’, ‘noodles’ using the picture and word cards.3 On the left side of the board put up the word cards for all the new words and on the right their picture cards but in a different order. Ask some students to come up and draw lines between the right pairs.4 Ask individual students to choose one food item on the board they like and say ‘I like...’5 Play the cassette tape again. Clap twice and say a pair of words, e.g. ‘soup’, ‘rice’.
