注：that 在句中无词汇意义，在从句中不能充当成分，在口语当中往往省略。
eg.
1. I hear (that) he will be back in an hour.
（一小时后他会回来）
由从属连词that引导的宾语从句
eg.
2. He said (that) he missed us very much.
（他非常想念我们）
3. I hope (that) they will have a good time.
(他们将会玩得开心）
由从属连词that引导的宾语从句
eg.
4. I think he will come.
否定形式：I don’t think he will come.
Attention:
当主句的谓语动词是think, believe等时，宾语从句尽管要表示否定意义，却不用否定形式，而将think等动词变为否定形式。
由从属连词that引导的宾语从句
eg.
5. He told me (that) they couldn’t decide what to do and that they ask my advice.
Attention:
两个表示陈述意义的宾语从句并列时，有时省去第一个从句的连词that，但第二个从句的连词that一般不可以省略。
由从属连词whether, if 引导的宾语从句
由从属连词if或whether引导的宾语从句表示“是（有，能，已经……）”等一般疑问句的含义。 whether和if常常可以互换。
eg.
1. I wonder whether (if) he lives here.
2.The teacher asked whether (if) they were
ready for the final examination.
只用whether, 不用if 引导的宾语从句
1.whether可与or not连用而if不可以
eg. I don’t know whether he will come or not.
我不知道他是否会来。
Mary asked whether I was doing my homework or not.
玛丽问我是否由做作业。
只用whether, 不用if 引导的宾语从句
2.在句首时用whether，而不用if
eg. Whether you take part in or not the result
will be the same.
你参不参加结果都是一样的。
Whether this is true or not, I don’t know.
这是不是真的，我不知道。
只用whether, 不用if 引导的宾语从句
3.在介词后用whether，而不用if
eg. It depends on whether he can solve the problem.
那取决于他能否解决这个问题。
I’m thinking of whether we should go fishing.
我在考虑我们是否要去钓鱼。

5.在动词不定式前用whether而不用if
eg. They asked me whether to sit at the
front.
他们问我是否能站在前面。
6.在动词discuss后的宾语从句中:
eg. We discussed whether we would have a
sports meeting next week.
我们在讨论是否下周要举行运动会。
只用if, 不用whether引导的宾语从句
1.引导否定概念的宾语从句时：
He asked me if I hadn’t finish my homework.
2.引导条件状语从句，if意为“如果”时:
We’ll go hiking if it doesn’t rain tomorrow.
由连接代词what, who, whom, whose, which及连接副词 when, where, how, why引导的宾语从句。
由连接代词what, whom, whose, which, what和连接副词when, where, how, why等引导的宾语从句表示“什么，谁，谁的，哪（个，些），何时，何地，怎样，为什么”等等特殊疑问句的意义。除了连接词及被修饰的词提前以外，宾语从句用陈述句语序。
由连接代词what, who, whom, whose, which及连接副词 when, where, how, why引导的宾语从句。
eg.1. I didn’t hear what he wanted me to do.
2. He asked who could answer the question.
3. Do you know whom they are waiting for
4. He asked whose handwriting was the best in the class
5. I want to know which is that young man.
6. Tom asked us when we would start the party.
7. Can you tell me where he is
8. Could you tell me how I can get to the station
9.Would you tell me why the train is late
宾语从句中的时态
1. 当主句是现在时或将来时的时候，宾语从句可以用所需要的任何时态。
eg. We know (that) Mrs. Chen teaches English.
2．主句是过去时，宾语从句一般只能用过去时的某种
eg. We knew it necessary that we practise spoken English every day.
3. 当从句叙述的是客观事实或一般真理时，宾语从句仍然用现在时态。
eg. He told the boy that three plus one is four.
