Unit 3 I’m more outgoing than my sister.

教学设计
一、教学目标：
1）. 语言知识目标：
能掌握以下单词：outgoing , better, loudly, quietly, hard-working.
能掌握以下句型：
① Tina is taller than Tara.
② Sam has longer hair than Tom.
③ She also sings more loudly than Tara.
能掌握以下语法：
① 形容词或副词比较级形式的构成。
② 表示两者进行比较的句式结构。
2）过程与方法目标
学生能通过观察别人的外貌及品质，用形容词或副词的比较级准确的对人物的外表进行描绘，个性进行比较。
3）情感态度价值观
通过对本单元的任务性活动，培养学生学习英语的强烈兴趣，乐于参加各种活动的积极情感。
4）教学重难点
教学重点：
① 形容词或副词比较级形式的构成。
② 表示两者进行比较的句式结构。
教学难点：
教学难点为形容词比较级的结构及读音，用形容词或副词的比较级准确的对人物的外表进行描绘，个性进行比较。

二．学情分析
我所教学的对象是八年级学生，八年级英语词汇量大，增加了教学的难度，如何让学生掌握词汇，适应教材的要求，是我们长期研究探索的课题。注重培养学生自学的能力是词汇教学的关键，在英语教学中创设一定的语言情景，使学生宛如置于一种真实的语言环境中，就能使学生自然而然使用所学习词汇来表达他们的思想感情，从而达到学以致用的目的。因此，我在教学活动中尽量让他们参与到活动中来，努力激励他们大胆开口，激发学生学习的兴趣。提高课堂效率，让学生在快乐中学习。
三、教学过程
Step　1　Warming　up
用简单易学的英语歌曲，调动起全班学生的学习热情。这部分的设计采用的是兴趣型的教学策略。旨在上课初吸引同学们的注意力，提起他们的学习兴趣。 (“良好的开端是成功的一半”， 因此，我认为能以一种新颖的问候方式或复习方式进入一节课，就能唤起学生的兴趣，使学生保持一种积极的学习状态。) 首先，让学生听歌曲Edelweiss并把歌词中的形容词找出来，以此导入新课。
Ask Ss to listen to a song .Then have the students try to find the adjectives in this song. Then have the students try to speak out some adjectives. Such as long ,short ,tall, cute, smart etc.
Step　2　Presentation and practice
为了让学生在练习中通过视听说初步掌握词汇与句型，我通过课件展示一些图片,首先教授新单词，然后，通过图片运用词汇，引出形容词比较级的结构和用法。图文并茂有利于培养学生的学习兴趣。
1.Use the pictures to teach the new words .
2.Ask Ss to look at the pictures to see the differences. Then have the students try to compare the people or the things in the pictures.
　 e.g. The apple is bigger than the pear.
The pear is more delicious than the apple. etc
Step3 Practice and listening
Section A是基本的语言部分，打好本单元目标语言的基础。运用听力，pair work等口语练习活动，充分培养学生学习目标英语的语感。任务型听力要求学生对动作做出反应，教师可承接刚开始的话题，引导学生根据所学语言完成听力任务
Then listen to the recording. Ask Ss to number the twins.
Check the answers.
Step　4　Practice
Ask Ss to look at the pictures and try to find out the differences in the pictures .
They can use the words given to help them. Then ask the students try to use comparative adjectives to express.
e.g. Yao Ming is taller than Liu Xiang.
Liu Xiang is shorter than Yao Ming.
Liu Xiang runs faster than Yao Ming. etc
Choose some students to try to speak out their sentences .
Step5 Listening practice
运用听力，pair work等口语练习活动，充分培养学生学习目标英语的语感。任务型听力要求学生对动作做出反应，教师可承接刚开始的话题，引导学生根据所学语言完成听力任务
Have the students listen and finish activity2a and activity2b.
Check the answers.
Step6 Group work
通过小组活动，一方面培养学生的口语能力，另一方面让学生学会合作与探究。
Have the students work in group to compare with each other . They should try to say some sentences about their partners by using comparative adjectives. Ask several groups to speak out their sentences.
