【教材分析】
本课是上海牛津英语译林版五年级上册第六单元，话题为“family life”，该单元内容紧密联系学生的生活实际、兴趣和情感。其中Say and act板块所要达到的目标是培养学生对语言的综合运用能力，包括对词汇、句型的运用，对文本材料的理解与把握，以及将知识进行内化并表达的能力等。
【教学目标】
知识与技能目标：
通过观看视频选择填空、阅读原文选词填空，角色扮演，对话活动等多种教学活动，将所学语言知识运用在接近学生实际生活的情境中，培养学生综合运用语言的能力。
过程与方法目标：
通过互动游戏，编演对话等形式让学生逐步地融入各种教学活动中去运用英语，提升学生综合运用语言能力的过程。
情感态度与价值观目标：
让学生通过所呈现的直观生动的图片和视频信息，创设情境，通过活动培养学生树立关爱地球的观念，学习并掌握如何通过实际活动关爱地球，鼓励学生关爱地球，保护环境。
【教学重难点】
1.能听懂原文对话，模仿对话并编演对话。
2.能了解并掌握Earth Hour活动的做法及意义。
3.能掌握一般现在时与现在进行时的不同结构与用法。
4.能结合自身实际，明白在Earth Hour活动中如何付出实践。

【教学步骤】
Step 1 Warm up
Sing a song (What are you doing ) together.
(通过歌曲活跃气氛，引起学生兴趣与学习英语的激情。）
Step 2 Lead-in
Introduce myself and my school with the sentence patterns
“This is our ... We usually ... Look, he/she/they is/are....”
(通过介绍自己的学校将话题引入到Earth Hour，创设语言情境与学生交流，迅速进入本课话题。并且通过介绍，让学生快速复习相关句型，唤醒记忆，以旧带新。)
Step 2 Presentation
Show students Task 1 and find the answer in the video.
Match the pictures with right persons according to the video of “Say and act”.
Show the part of Alice and teach the key phrases. Role-play with reporter.
Listen to the part of Kitty and Sally. Ask students to do Task by themselves.
(通过Task 1 引出turn off their lights，进而通过Many people turn off their lights. What can they do 导入课文文本学习，一听课文文本时通过配图游戏与学生互动活跃课堂气氛，增添学习乐趣，二听文本时分开讲解，先以Alice为例，结合板书，通过让学生在黑板上移动词组贴教授词组，结合课件完成句子学习，在句子学习中渗透两种时态的对比，后让学生自主完成Kitty与Sally文本的学习，前部分加强输入，积累信息，后部分注重输出。)
Step 3 Practice
Read after the dialogue.
Task 3: Four students in a group and then role-play the dialogue.
Complete the reporter’s notes.
(文本学习完成后通过跟读活动加强学生英语语音语调的训练，通过角色扮演检查学生学习情况，加深学生对文本的理解，最后通过补全填空练习教授技巧，加强文本以及时态的学习。)
Step 4 Production
Task 4: Students complete the dialogue and show it in pairs.
(活动采用小记者采访的形式，通过视频展示，学生兴趣浓厚，引导学生编演会话，让学生在做中学，在学中用。)
Step 5 Summary
Show our beautiful Mother Earth and the present situation of our Mother Earth and then show that we should care for our Mother Earth.
(呈现美丽的地球以及地球母亲遭到破坏后的现状，倡导大家关爱地球母亲。)
