Using background knowledge: carefully reading the first sentence in each paragraph can active your own knowledge of the topic and help you guess what the whole text is about.

Meaning and sentences
Once Ss have found the opposite words individually, they can share the meaning of this word with a partner. In their pairs, they can come up with sentences using both words.
