StepⅠ Review
1.Fill in the blanks with correct words or phrases.
2.Make invitations using the information. Have students try to make more invitations.
StepⅡ PresentationⅦ
1.New words
Lead students to read the new words.
2.PK Game
Divide the class into 2 groups.
Show one word quickly and ask students to read the word after it to see which group speak more loudly and quickly.
3.Show a calendar, ask: what day/date is it today What day /date was it yesterday What day/date is tomorrow What day/date is the day after tomorrow
4.Write the words below the correct dates.(1b)
5.Then ask: what is today/tomorrow/the day after tomorrow
what was yesterday/the day before yesterday Students answer one by one.
6.Lead students to know the difference between “what day/date is it ” and “what is today ”
7.Point to different dates at random on the calendar and ask different students to speak out the dates.
Step Ⅲ Listening Practice (1d and 1e)
1.Let students look at the picture ,ask students to tell what the boy is doing.
2.Play the tape for the first time, students tell me if Vince can play tennis with Andy and circle YES or NO.
3.Ask students to read the five activities ,then play the tape twice ,students listen and match the activities with the days.
4.Finally, check the answers together, if necessary, play the tape for the third time.
Step Ⅳ Consolidation
Fill in the blanks according the conversation in 1d.
Then check the answers.
Step Ⅴ Pairwork
Work with a partner to make conversations. One student is Andy, the other is Vince.
Invite several pairs to present their conversations to the class.
