Lesson 37:What’s Your Hobby
教学目标 1.Language goals: Grasp the new words 、phrases and the key sentences“My hobby is+doing sth”“I like/enjoy+doing sth”“I’m interested in+doing sth”.2. Ability goals: Be able to introduce someone’s hobby in easy English .3. Moral goals: Encourage students to Learn and talk about interests and hobbies

导 学 过 程
The teacher's instructions Students’ activity
Step I Lead-in:( 2 ) Show a picture and say:Look at the picture.1.What’s she doing 2.What do you like to do after school Think and answer the questions.
Step II Learning aims:( 1 ) The teacher write the learning aims on the blackboard and make students know what they will learn in class. The students must read the learning aims together and make sure to know what to study in this lesson.
Step III Newlanguagepoints Presentation( 10 ) Show some words by giving their meanings and some examples. Look at screen and try to spell words about this lesson
1.Look at the pictures of PPT, and ask “ What hobbies do you have What other hobbies do you know Look at the picture and say:What’s he/she doing What are they doing What’s his/her/your hobby What are their hobbies Ask the students to practice the dialogue in pairs. Look at the pictures of PPT,then answer the questions: playing basketball,drawing pictures, watching TV,playing games.….Practice the dialogue in pairs first,then act it out in class.
Practice of four skills( 20 ) 1. Learn about the content of the text by listening .2.Let students read and understand the text further .3.Extend information about the text by doing the exercises .4.Give students some time to underline the key phrases and structures that they can’t understand . And then explain them .5.Ask the students to fill in the blanks with the useful expressions in this lesson. 1. Listen to the tape and write ture (T) or false (F).2. Read the text three times at leastand complete exercises.3.Complete number 2 on page 103.4. Learn and use key phrases and structures with the help of teacher .5.Complete the passage with the phrases in the box.
Expansion of knowledge ( 7 ) To talk about your family members’ hobbies Make up a dialogue to introduce family members to class.
Exercises andSummary( 5 ) Finish some exercises of lesson 39 in exercise book.
