Being alone also prevents you from burning out. Sometimes you may wonder why you easily feel tired. ___18___ Especially for people who go to work every day, it is unavoidable to feel exhausted when you have to deal with work, family, and your own passions at the same time. How about giving yourself a few solitary moments It doesn’t matter how you choose to spend those moments alone. As long as they relieve your stress, they’re worthwhile.

Reading for fun is one of life's greatest pleasures. There's nothing quite like sinking into an armchair with a beloved book and letting yourself be transported to the world of an imaginative character. 36 In our busy, technology-filled lives, it can be hard to carve out the time to sit down with a book. Here are some tips on how to become a good reader.
Create a reading schedule. 37 Block out a period of time to dedicate to reading every day, even if it's just ten minutes. Choose a time that's stress-free. Read during a nice, quiet time. Enjoy a book with breakfast or as you're getting ready for bed. Prepare a snack you love to eat while you read. This will make you look forward to reading time!
38 There's no reason to immediately force yourself to read War and Peace when you're trying to get into reading. Start with something that's easy and fun to read, regardless of its academic level. Pick up your old favorite kids book or choose a young adult novel, most of which are fast-paced, easy to read, and full of imaginative characters. Grab a favorite like Harry Potter, or some Roald Dahl classics like Matilda or James and the Giant Peach to get started.
Experiment with different genres. Don't limit yourself to one genre. Alternating between genres such as fiction, non-fiction, fantasy, sci-fi, and history can keep you constantly engaged and excited about reading. Science fiction and fantasy are often great picks for people who don't love to read. 39 Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card and A Hitchhiker s Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams are two widely adored sci-fi classics.
Get rid of distractions. Reading takes a lot of concentration, and it's impossible to get into a book if you're constantly checking your email or Facebook or distracted by outside noise. Find a quiet place and remove technological distractions while you’re reading. 40 Put your cell phone far enough away from you that you won't pick it up to check your social media.
A. Start small.
B. Choose a book.
C. They're fun, imaginative, and fast paced.
D. For some, however, reading can feel like a burden.
E. Like anything else, reading is an activity that gets easier with practice.
F. There are fantasy books, historical fiction books, realistic fiction books, and so many others.
G. Turn off your cell phone or put it on silent, unless you plan to use it to look up unfamiliar words.

In her essay Friends, Good Friends and Such Good Friends, Judith Viorst creates a number of categories(分类) for Friendships, for her, some friendships are based on convenience, some on current shared interests, some on past shared history, some on accidental crossing - of - paths, and on and on. 36
I have just two categories of friends. 37 The short-term, low-investment (投资) category is a large and changeable group made up of people I’ve met since I moved to New Orleans eighteen months ago. My New Orleans friends are mostly classmates in my writing courses, people who see and comment my writing courses and whose writing I see and comment.
__38 But they are also unstable(不稳定的) and possibly disappointing. This is because we often know each other better through reading each others writing than we do through honest time spent together. Such knowledge and familiarity, without necessarily the investment can create stresses.
The long-term, high-investment category is primarily made up of people I left behind when I moved to New Orleans. 39 They are friends who know me, love me, and who can be counted on for anything, even though they live 1,500 miles away. I know these friends from the way they wash dishes to the way they choose a restaurant or drink their coffee. Every one of them was once a person in my life, standing in the low-investment category, and then slowly becoming forever friends. 40 And the work is hard.
A. And the only difference between the two is time and lots of work.
B. Such classification by her is beyond me.
C. The change takes just that Investment.
D. In many ways, they are friends whose concern is only based on profit.
E. These low-investment friendships are delightfully strong and serious at times.
F. This is a firm and efficient group, whose numbers can be counted on one hand.
G. Friends of the low-investment category are always trustworthy
