Lesson 34:On the Farm
一、教材分析
1. 课文分析:农场生活,对于城市的同学们来说是比较陌生的,而对于农村的同学们来说是很亲切的,因此,教师应当针对不同的学习对象,采取不同的教学方法。对于城市的同学,教师应当给学生们创造出亲近大自然的感觉;对于农村的同学,教师应当让同学们带着好奇心去学习,比如农场里的动物怎么用英语表达,给动物喂食怎么用英语说,从而使他们产生学以致用的感觉。
2.教学重点: 本课的掌握词汇及短语。
3.教学难点: 现在进行时态的使用。
● 知识目标:
(1)掌握词汇:countryside, feed, pick, friendly
(2)掌握短语及句型:on the farm, Come on!
●能力目标:通过听说训练,提高学生的口语表达能力。
●情感目标:激发学生热爱家乡、热爱大自然的感情。
●学习策略:
(1)使用小组合作学习并开展竞赛的方式,发展学生的学习能力,激发学生的合作意识。
(2)熟悉语言材料,创设语言环境,提高语言表达能力。
二、教学步骤
Step Ⅰ. Greeting & Class Opening (5 minutes )
T: say hello to all students (hi, boys and girls, nice to meet you, how are you ......) in order to shorten the distance between the teacher and students. [设计思路: 用一些常见的日常用语问候学生,从而缩短与学生之间的距离]
T:give some trees and apples to each group, if someone does well, his or her group will get an apple, so every one should work hard to get more apples. [设计思路:小组也是一个团队,使用小组合作学习并开展竞赛的方式,发展学生的学习能力,激发学生的合作意识。]
T:play a video called Old Macdonald Had A Farm to relax
S: watch it carefully and answer questions.
[先播放动画视频,让学生用心去听,去看flash内容,不仅能使学生在轻松、愉快的氛围中进入良好的学习状态,而且能够很自然地导入新课内容,使学生很快就感受到农场的生活气息,从而达到寓教于乐的目的。]
Step Ⅱ. Preparing before class ( 3 minutes )
1. Lead in!
T:ask students some questions about farm. Let them say something about animals, fruit and vegetables.
[ 设计思路:通过图片让学生学会用英语表达个别动物,并且了解我们在农场可以做的事情]
2. guessing game
Show some pictures of new words in this lesson. Let students imagine what the new word the picture means.
[ 设计思路:先呈现本课个别生词的图片,通过“猜猜看”这个活动让学生对重点词汇加强记忆,为顺利的理解此课做好充分的准备。]
Step Ⅲ. Check in class( 3 minutes )
1. check the new words again
The teacher will show the new words on the screen first, but the new words will disappear quickly. Let students to read and pare which group is the fastest.
[ 设计思路:一方面,继续采取“字幕”的形式,单词出现又瞬间消失,强化学生瞬间记忆英语词汇的能力,解决学生因为学习任务重而没有时间记忆单词的烦恼,起到事半功倍的作用;另一方面,小组竞赛法贯彻整个学习过程,让同学们始终感到压力与动力并存。]
2. read the words
Let a student to lead the reading or students can read them together. After all The pronunciation of words is the most important.
[ 设计思路:进一步加强单词的读音,为之后的熟读课文奠定基础]
3. read and act
T:Let students read the diaguage with partner and prepare a role play.
S:read the dialogue with each partner and practice the role play.
[设计思路:提高合作能力,加强阅读水平,提升语感]
4. read and answer.
The teacher will ask students to find the answer about four questions quickly in groups in order to get familiar with the dialogue.
[设计思路:培养学生快速阅读并且找出相关问题答案的能力,以便于熟悉课文内容]
5.Let’s do it!No1 .Listen to the passage and match the people with the actions.
教师播放听力材料一遍后,让学生选择人物和动作的搭配,可以处理为抢答环节;对过答案之后,再次播放一遍听力材料。
[ 设计思路:在这个听力环节中,教师可以让学生预测某个动作是谁完成的,听过之后检验是否准确,如果学生答对,能增强他们参与学习的喜悦感,甚至能有一定的成就感。]
Step Ⅳ. Group work
S:Discuss the new tense in groups and find the structure.
[ 设计思路:通过小组合作,进一步加强时态---现在进行时]
Step Ⅴ. free talk
S:practice the present continuous tense according to the pictures.
[ 设计思路:通过free talk让学生进一步巩固加强现在进行时]
Step Ⅵ exercise
S:Do some exercise to strengthen the key point of this lesson
[ 设计思路:通过巩固练习加强学生对本节课知识点的理解和掌握]
