I used to being a substitute in our school’s football team. I didn’t play many on the field. However, I attended every team practice and tried my best to play on the field, if giving the chance. Last week, my coach informs me that I had been accepted as a player. I was not sure that I was fully prepared for the position or not. But my coach said he had seen my hardly work and great progress and had faith me. I was so excited that I couldn’t go to a sleep all night. I promised oneself that I would try harder but never give up my dream.

Last Sunday, my parents and I went to the countryside, which we had a great time together. To make it a green journey, we all agree to cycle there. With everything ready, we set out. Upon arrival, we got down to making preparation. Everyone was enjoying the pleasant but relaxing family atmosphere in open air. After the meal, my father and I couldn’t wait to fly kites. We watched our kites dancing high in the sky, laugh happily together. Mum couldn’t help cheering for them. Dusk fell down before we realized it. Seated together at ease, we quietly watched the gold setting sun, wishing to have more joyfully weekends like this.

The first person I met in my high school was my deskmate, with that I fell in love at first sight.
She was warm-hearted and always wore a honest smile on her face. I was homesick in the first few days, unable to adjust the new school. It was with her help which I got familiar with the school. However, what impressed me most was her diligence and determine. When faced with a challenge in study, she would try out her best to solve it. Whenever I was in trouble, she would encourage myself and help me out. But for her encouragement, I wouldn’t have progressed so fast and steady.
Have so nice a girl as my friend is great luck for me. May our friendship lasts forever.
