Students talk about the weather in a week.

Step 3 Presentation
1. Read and guess(Weather in different seasons)
Guess the possible season according to the weather report.
Ask the students to read the weather reports in four seasons, find the sentences about weather and temperature, and guess what season it is. Teach the new expressions “snowstorm, drop to/rise to, drop below zero/stay above zero, around, in the thirties, the rest of the week, daytime”.
2. Practise reading the reports of different seasons.
3. Have a memory test about each report.

Step 4 Listening
(1) Show the world map and introduce the four cities.
(2) Give the listening tips: predict before listening; mainly listen to the key words; write in shorthand with signs like letters and simple pictures
(3) Listen and complete the table. Then check the answers.
(4) Listen and complete the passage.

Step5. Make a weather report
Give a weather report in groups of four
(1) Explain the procedures to prepare the weather report.
(2) Show the weather map.
(3) Play a short video about weather report, show the evaluation standard, and then ask the students to make the whole report in the class.
(4) Make a weather report like this: Good morning, here is the weather report. It / There will be…in Wuxi today, later in the day there will be a high chance of… The temperature will stay above…Tomorrow it will be much…/…fall below…The highest /lowest… /between…and…this Sunday./You need to wear… It’s not a good idea to …(wash cars/a trip …) Luckily, next Monday it/there will be… rise to…
