教材 黑布林阅读初一年级第1辑Fireball’s Heart
背景 美国土著部落传说，由两位首领的不同信念而展开的一个关于“真相”和“谎言”的故事。
语言 在作家笔下，语言以文字的方式、文学作品的形式完成了态度的转变和蜕变，让读者从文字中感受到语言的精妙。
内容 部落酋长“睿智的猫头鹰”的族人从不说谎，而另一部落酋长“强壮的水牛”却不相信这是真的。他想通过策划的计谋让看管猫头鹰酋长部落所有马匹的“黑眼睛”撒一次慌。虽然说出真相很难，但“黑眼镜”还是选择说出真相。
评价 这是一部当代小小说，语言真实而细腻，内容高低起伏，结构单纯而寓意深远。

本节课的学生是七年级学生，班上学生已经有了一定的学习基础，成绩稳定。对这样一个传说故事已经能够理解。本堂课前已做前置阅读，故本节课会以人物关系及人物性格为中心，让学生更深层次了解人物。最后结合故事创编填空，让学生巩固所学习的内容，找出自己最喜欢的角色。并联系实际，得到情感升华。
