动词-ing形式”表示禁止或规劝,常用于公共场所。

4. 在动词原形前加don’t。

How many是疑问词, 表示“多少”, 后面需跟复数名词。询问多少人或物的句型是:
How many +复数名词 + 一般疑问句。
2. How much 对不可数名词进行提问, 表示
“多少”, 后面跟不可数名词。
例:我们需要多少蜂蜜
How much honey do we need
我们需要两勺蜂蜜。
We need two spoons of honey.

可数名词与不可数名词
1.分辨可数名词和不可数名词
(1)可数名词有单数和复数两种形式,而不可数
名词只有单数形式。
pen →pens 钢笔(可数)
bread 面包(不可数)
(2)不定冠词、基数词可直接修饰可数名词,
表示数量;而不可数名词在表示数量时,
则用“不定冠词/基数词+表示计量单位的
名+of+不可数名词”。
an apple 一个苹果
a piece of bread 一片面包
four cups of water 四杯水
(3)可数名词复数前可用many, some, any, few,
a few等修饰;不可数名词前可用much, some,
any, little, a little等修饰。
many teachers 许多教师
much money 许多钱

2.可数名词的复数(分规则和不规则变化两种)
(1)规则变化
名词复数的构成,通常是在单数形式后面加s或es,其方法如下:
加-s
在清辅音后读/s/
在浊辅音和元音后读/z/
在/t/后读/ts/
在/d/后读/dz/

以s, x, ch, sh等 结尾的大多数词
加-es
读/Iz/
以辅音字母加y结尾的词
变y为i,再加-es

以f (e) 结尾的词
变f (e) 为v,

(2)不规则变化
改变单数名词中的元音字母。
如:man → men 男人 tooth → teeth 牙齿
词尾有变化。
如:child → children 孩子 mouse → mice 老鼠
单、复数形式相同。
如:sheep → sheep 绵羊 deer → deer 鹿
(3)当一个名词作定语修饰另一个名词时,
其复数形式只须将其主体词变为复数形式。
但man/woman修饰另一个名词,变复数时
要将名词及man或woman都变成复数。
a girl student → girl students 女学生
a woman teacher → women teachers 女教师
a man driver → men drivers 男司机
(4)提问可数名词的数量用how many,提问
不可数名词的数量用how much。
例:你有多少本书?
How many books do you have
我们需要多少盐?
How much salt do we need
以字母o结尾的名词有的加-es,有的加-s。
potato → potatoes 土豆
tomato → tomatoes 西红杮
radio → radios 收音机
photo → photos 照片
不可数名词没有单、复数形式;可数名词单数
前面可用不定冠词a (an);不可数名词前不能有
a (an);可数名词复数可用 a few, many 等修饰;
不可数名词则用 a little, much 等修饰。
4. 可数名词有单数和复数两种形式, 如:
bananas, tomatoes。
