知识讲堂:
1.What does he do He’s a businessman.
这是一个询问职业的句型, 它的构成是“ What do/ does+某(些)人+do ”, 可以用“某人+ be+ a/an+职业名词”来回答。 询问职业还有一个句型是“ What + be+某人?”。 如上面的句子还可以说“ What is he ”。
2.---Where does he work ---He works at sea.
当你想询问他人在哪儿工作时, 用“ Where do/ does+ 某(些)人+ work ”这个句型。 我们通常用一个表示地点的介宾短语来回答这个句型。 介宾短语是由介词加上名词或代词构成的。
3.---How does he go to work ---He goes to work by bike.
要询问别人的上班方式, 可以用“ How do/ does+人物+ go to work ”句式来询问, 回答时要用到”by+交通工具的单词“或者是on foot。
4.What a great job!
此句是由“what”引导的感叹句:“what”意为“多么”用作定语,修饰名词(被强调部分),单数可数名词前要加不定冠词a/an,复数可数名词或不可数名词前不用冠词。这类句子的结构形式是: what+(a/an)+形容词+名词+主语+谓语+(it is). 如:
What a clever girl she is!
多么聪明的姑娘呀!
【典例精讲】
1. —Where does Lily work
— She______ at school.
A. works B. workes C. work
解析: 问句是询问Lily的工作地点,回答工作地点的结构是He/She works +表示地点的介词短语.这里work 要加s。故选A.
2. —______ does Lily go to work
— She goes to work by bus.
A. Where B. How C. What
解析: 根据回答She goes to work by bus.她坐公车去上班。可以知道提问的是去工作的方式,用How来提问方式。 故选B.
3. —Where ______ your mother work
— She______ in a car company.
A. does; work B. does; works C. do; works
解析:根据询问他人的工作地点的句型结构,可以知道第一条横线应该填does。而问在哪里工作,回答是她在一家汽车公司工作。由于she是第三人称单数做主语,work要用works。 故选B.
