be supposed to意思是什么？
表示按照规则、规律、义务或约定“应当；理应”去做某事，其中to为动词不定式符号，后接动词原形。
请找出它的否定句和一般疑问句形式.

be supposed to do sth.
be supposed to的主语是人时，意为“应该……”，用来表示劝告、建议、责任等。to为动词不定式符号，后接动词原形。
如： You’re supposed to return my money today.
拓展1：be supposed to的语意相当于should。如：
You’re supposed to study harder. = You should study harder.
拓展2：be supposed to的主语是事或物时，意为“本该，本应”，用于表示某事本应该发生而没有发生。
The sports meeting was supposed to take place on Tuesday, but we’ve had to put it off because of the heavy rain.

否定句句式：be supposed to的否定式是在be后加not，即be not supposed to，意为“不应该做某事”，表示命令或禁止。如：
We are not supposed to talk back to our parents.
一般疑问句句式：be supposed to的一般疑问句是把be提至主语前。如：
Am I supposed to get up at 7 o’clock

拓展3：was / were supposed to常用来把本应该发生的事与实际发生的事进行对照，可译为“本应该”。如：
Mike was supposed to get up at six, but he did it at eight.

be expected to do sth.意思是什么？有什么用法？
Eplaination
1. be expected to do sth意为“被要求做某事”。
如：I’m expected to do the dishes every day.
2. be expected to do sth. 表达“被期许(预期)会做某事, 希望做某事, 表示一种可能性。
e.g. She was expected to arrive before dinner.
希望她晚餐前到达。
注意：be supposed to do相对于be expected to
do主观性更强一些。

Eplaination
It is＋adj.＋to do sth. 意为“做某事是……的”
此为固定句型，其中it是形式主语，动词不定式为句子真正的主语。
e.g. It is important to learn English well. 学好英语很重要。
辨析：It is＋adj.＋for sb. to do sth.
It is＋adj.＋of sb. to do sth.

1．It is＋adj.＋for sb. to do sth.常用于表示事物的特征、特点，常用描述事物性质的形容词，如easy, hard, difficult, interesting, impossible等。
It's not easy for the man to support such a big family.养活这么一大家子人对这个男人来说不容易。
2．It is＋adj.＋(of sb.)to do sth.的句型常用于表示人物的性格、品德，常用表示主观感情或态度的形容词，如good, kind, nice, clever, foolish, right等。
It's very clever of the little girl to think of a good idea to solve the problem.那个小女孩想到个解决问题的好主意，真是聪明。
