1.定义:表示现在(说话瞬间)正在进行的动作。
还可以表示当前一段时间内的活动或现阶段正在进行的动作。
My sister is watching TV now.

They are working on a farm these days.

2. 谓语动词的构成: 助动词be + v.-ing。
规则 示例
一般情况下,动词后直接加-ing work - working visit - visiting
以不发音的字母e结尾的动词,去掉e,加 -ing take - taking write - writing
以“辅音字母+元音字母+辅音字母”结尾的重读闭音节结尾的动词,双写末尾的这个辅音字母,然后加-ing stop - stopping get- getting

特殊变化 lie- lying
动词ing的变化规则:
I’m writing an email to my mother.我在给我妈妈写邮件。
I'm not writing an email to my mother.我没在给我妈妈写邮件。
3.句型转换:
(1)变为否定句时, 在be后加not。
(2)变为一般疑问句时,把be提前到句首, 人称和be作相应变化。
I’m writing an email to my mother.我在给我妈妈写邮件。
Are you writing an email to your mother 你在给你妈妈写邮件吗?
