知识目标:熟练掌握 sun rain snow cloud wind 及其对应的表示天气状况的形容词 sunny rainy snowy cloudy windy 以及询问天气的句型 How is the weather / What’s the weather like 和询问日期的句型 What day is it today
能力目标:运用所学的语言知识,在创设情境中进行交际,并在此基础上能将其运用于日常生活中,激发学生学习英语的兴趣。
情感目标:通过本课学习培养学生合作学习,以及勇于表现自己的能力。激发学生学习英语的兴趣,帮助学生树立学习英语的自信,体会学习英语的乐趣。
教学重点:
1. Master the words, sentences about seasons and weather.
2. Encourage and help students talk about the seasons and weather in English.
教学难点:Make students read the key words and sentences fluently by themselves.
教学流程
Step 1. Review
Briefly recap what we learned in the last unit. In unit 6, we learned how to ask the way.We learned how to shop at a supermarket. And, we learned many names of animals.
Step 2. Lead in
1.Ask and answer
How are you today?
How do you feel about the weather
What season do you like?
(Encourage and help students answer the questions in Chinese.)
Give a question: You know the four seasons in Chinese, do you know the words in English
Step 3. New words and expressions
Step 4. New lesson
Part I. What season do you like?
a. Guessing Game
1.Show some pictures to the students and ask the students to guess which season it is.
2. After the game, the teacher and the students do some ask and answer practice about seasons, such as:
How many seasons are there in a year
What are they
b. The dialogue
Read the dialogue together, and understand the meaning. Then, Let the students read the dialogue again and finish the exercise 2.
Part II. How is the weather
Teacher : read the poem
Students: repeat after the teacher
Step 5. Summary
Sum up the key words, phrases and sentences. And explain how to use them
Step 6. Listen
Listen to a song How is the weather.
