Unit 2 Can you help me, please
Step 1 Listening and reading
1.Ask the students to read the conversation in Activity 1 silently.
2.Play the recording and ask the students to listen and repeat after it.
3.Let the students practise the conversation in groups of three.
4.Choose some groups to act the conversation out.
Step 2 Listening and pointing
1.Ask the students to look at the pictures in Activity 2.
2.Play the recording and ask the students to point out the pictures that they hear.
3.Ask and answer questions like this:
—What's this in English
—It's a ball.
Step 3 Listening practice
1.Let the students match the left column with the right column in Activity 3.
2.Play the recording of Activity 3 and ask the students to check their answers.
3.Check the answers with the whole class.
Step 4 Working in pairs
According to the pictures in Activity 5, make dialogue in pairs like this:
A: Can you help me, please
B: Yes, of course.
A: What's this in English
B: It's a…
A: How do you spell it
B: …
A: Thank you.
B: You're welcome.
Step 5 Writing
1.Ask the students to read through the sentences in Activity 6 and complete the dialogue.
2.Play the recording and ask the students to check their answers.
3.Read the dialogue in pairs.

Unit 3 What colour is it
Step 1 Lead in
1.Review the structures “What's this in English?”“Can you help me, please?”
2.Learn new words about colours by PPT.(详见素材二)
Step 2 Listening and reading
1.Ask the students to look at the pictures in Activity 1.
2.Play the recording and ask the students to listen and point out the colours they hear.
3.Play the reacording again and let the students repeat after it.
4.The teacher should correct the wrong prounication when the students read.
Step 3 Practice
1.Ask the students to look at the pictures in Activity 3 and look through the sentences below.
2.Play the recording and ask the students to listen and match the sentences.
3.Check the answers together.
Step 4 Working in pairs
1.Ask the students to look at the pictures in Activity 5.
2.Ask and answer questions about the colours of things in the pictures in pairs.
A: What colour is the door
B: It's green.
Step 5 Writing
1.Ask the students to read the words in Activity 6.
2.Put the words into the right columns in Activity 6.
3.Check the answers with the whole class.
4.Ask the students to read through the conversations in Activity 7 silently and fill in the blanks according to the pictures in Activity 3.

People may easily forget that we are living in a world full of different colors, such as red, blue, green, black, pink and so on. We can never tell how many kinds of them there are. But we all know that colors are very important in people's life.
The sky is blue. The trees are green and yellow. We often say that spring is new green, summer is hot blue, autumn is golden yellow and winter is cold white. If one day all the colors disappear, what will the world be like We feel bored (无趣的). We can't even tell the differences between the sky and land, between trees and houses.

1.Show some pictures of things in Activity 2 by PPT.
2.Learn the new words: pen, pencil, book, cat, dog, bird, flower.

Step 3 Listening and reading
1.Ask the students to read the conversation in Activity 1 silently.
2.Play the recording and ask the students to listen to and repeat the conversation.
3.Ask the students to read the conversation in pairs.
4.Choose two pairs to act the conversation out in front of the calss.

Step 4 Listening and pointing
1.Ask the students to look at the pictures in Activity 2.
2.Work in pairs. One student points one of the pictures and asks the other student like this“What's this in English?”The other student answers like this“It's a cat.”
Step 5 Listening and writing
1.Play the recording of Activity 3 and ask the students to write the words. Then check the answers together.
2.Play the recording of Activity 5 and ask the students to write the missing words. Next play the recording again and let them check their answers .Then check the answers together.
Step 6 Working in pairs
According to the pictures in Activity 4, make dialogue in pairs like this:
A: What's this in English
B: A pen
A: No.
B: A pencil
A: Yes, a pencil.
B: How do you spell “pencil”?
A: P E N C I L, pencil.

Unit 3 What colour is it
导入一 对话导入
T: What's this in English
S1: It's a pencil.
T: What colour is it?(教师提问该句的同时可以出示关于颜色的图片,学生便可以猜出教师提问的内容)
S1: It's green.
导入二 歌曲导入
播放英文歌曲Colours来活跃课堂气氛,为接下来要学的“colours”做准备。
1. 教师用多媒体展示各种颜色的图片,并引导学生回答问题。
T: What is this
Ss: It's a…
T: What colour is it
Ss: It's yellow.
2.教师呈现有关颜色的单词卡片,学习新单词。
3.让学生观察Activity 3中的图片并将图片下的句子相匹配,然后检查答案。
4.利用学生衣服的颜色练习“What colour is it?”句型,让学生能熟练地说出有关颜色的英语单词。示例:

活动一 学习新单词
1.学生跟读磁带,学习新单词。
学生翻开教材P88 Starter Module 3 Unit 1的新单词,按顺序跟读: in, English, in English, a, write, on, the, blackboard, OK, pen, no, pencil, do, bird, cat, dog, flower。
(设计意图:听地道的英语录音,学习新单词,模仿标准的英语语调。)
2.小组成员轮流教读新单词。
学生4人一组读记新单词。小组相互教的过程中,相互纠正读音。不让任何一个成员在单词上“掉队”。
(设计意图:每人都当一回小老师,体验教学的乐趣;增强团队合作意识,培养互帮互助精神。)
3.单词认读比赛,检验小组单词学习成果。
两小组间比赛,一组随机出示物品图片,另一组马上答出相应单词。示例:一组出示钢笔实物,另一组回答:Pen. A pen. It's a pen. 教师纠正a/an的用法。
(设计意图:对刚才小组内教读单词的效果进行检验和展示,激起学生表现自我的积极性,同时培养小组集体荣誉感。)
4. 全班一起认读新单词。
教师出示物品图片,全班同学一起认读新单词。教师适度介绍a/an的基本用法。
示例:Key. A key. It's a key. Orange. An orange. It's an orange.
(设计意图:全班同学进行新单词的整体感知与回顾,以加深记忆。)
活动二 学习新句型
1.师生一对一对话,导出新句型。
教师主动与一名学生对话,询问学生的学习用品,导出“What's this in English?” “It's a/an…”句型,并适当进行板书。
(设计意图:有些学生有英语学习的基础,鉴于此实际情况,进行师生一对一对话,让其他学生初步感知本课时所要学习的新句型。)
2.两人一组练习。
学生两人一组,针对自己的学习用品进行句型练习。
A: What's this in English
B: It's a pencil.
(设计意图:巩固对新句型的运用。)
3.小组对话PK。
两小组各拿一种物品,运用“What's this in English ”句型,提问另外一组的任意一名学生,句型运用正确并且回答正确的一组获胜。
(设计意图:小组间相互检测运用正确的句型对物品进行问答练习的熟练程度,通过比赛的形式让学生成为学习的主人,体验学习的快乐。)
4.学生两人一组上台展示对话。
学生两人一组拿着任意物品到教室前面进行问答展示。
(设计意图:让学生在表演中得到表现自我的机会。)
5.全班齐读Activity 1的对话,总结回顾。
(设计意图:集体回顾,整体感知,加深印象)
