2. The usage of word look and see.
Ability goal :
1. Cultivate students’ listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.

1.Understand the meaning of the text

【Teaching Procedures】
1. Class opening
1) Greet the students in English and make sure they can response correctly.
2) Duty report (such as the weather, the school life, their classmates and teachers and so on)
3) Check yesterday’s homework.
2. New lesson
Step 1 Revision
1. Have diction: Teacher speaks Chinese meanings; students write down the English words and expressions they learnt yesterday.
2. Retelling: Let some students retell the passage of Lesson 8 sentence by sentence and make students try to retell the whole passage together.
【设计思路】:通过听写和复述课文来让学生回顾上节课所学,巩固学习成果。
Step 2 Aims Presentation
Show learning aims to students and let them understand.
Step 3 New words learning
1. Show pictures to learn new words. At the same time make a sentence with each word.
2. Read the words to partners and show in the class
【设计思路】:以图片带单词的形式学习单词,在情景中识记单词,并掌握单词的用法,提高学单词的效率.
Step 4 Listening time
1. Listen to the tape: The first time, write down the name of the place of interest.
2. Listen again: finish Part One of Let’s Do it. Then check the answers together.
Step 5 Reading time
1. Read the lesson and let students try their best to describe the places of interest in English like Danny. Others could add more details about that.
2. Find out the language points in this lesson.

Step 6 Group work
1. Divide students into 9 groups as usual. Six students are in a group. Work in groups, and take out the pictures and information they have prepared. Introduce them like above and try to use some new sentence patterns.
2. Invite some students to show their pictures and description.
3. Others correct their mistakes.
4. Work in pairs and make new conversations like the conversation on the book and show.
【设计思路】:学生们小组活动,展示自己带来的图片和资料,向组员们介绍某处名胜古迹或某个喜爱的动物。然后老师邀请几个同学上台做陈述,其他同学猜(猜中小组加分),请其他同学纠正演讲学生的错误。最后两人一组,创造一个和本课课文相似的对话。
Step 7 Summary & Homework
1. Let some students sum up today’s contents. They are expected to sum up the key words, phrases and sentence patterns. And they should sum up how to introduce something accurately and clearly.
2. Homework: Write down their introductions about animals and places of interest. And finish the exercises after the passage.
【设计思路】:让学生来总结本节课的内容,有助于检验学生的听课效果,锻炼他们的归纳总结能力。让学生把他们准备的动物和名胜古迹的介绍写下来,不但巩固了自己所学,也有利于培养写作能力。
